A seamless and easy construction with great effect. The pattern is kind of a giant rib, which maskes the sweater super stretchy, and it curves around your curves in an elegant manner.

The pattern has great variations in width due to the broad rib-pattern. Make sure to measure, and feel free to combine i.e. S/M with the length of L/XXL

Yarn
Abuelita Merino Worsted, 400 (500) 600 g
Pickles Angora, 150 (175) 225 g (25 g balls)

31.5” circular needles US 15
Plus 2 spare needles around the same size.

The body piece
Cast on 112 s on circular needles US 15. Place marker at the beginning of the round and after 56 s to mark the sides of the sweater.

K 7, P 1 for about 3.1”
On the next round, increase 1 after each of the purled stitches, making 2 purled stitches between each of the 7 knit stitches. Increase by lifting the yarn between the stitches, twisting it 180 degrees, placing it on to the left needles and purling it =  126 s.
K 7, P 1 for about  3.2”
On the next round, increase 1 between all the 2 purled stitches, making 3 purled stitches between each of the 7 knit stitches.
Increase in the same manner as before = 140 s.

K 7, P 1  until the piece is 24”  from the beginning.
On the nect round increase 1 s in each side ONLY. Making 4 purled stitches in row in each side =  142 s.
Knit 1 round.
Divide the piece in two. Adjust the markers couple of stitches, making each of the two pieces starting and ending with 2 purl-stitches.

The back piece
Continue knitting the same pattern, K7, P3 (P7, K3 from the wrong side). Start and finish with K7. BUT, before you start, cast on 28 new s at the beginning of the row. AS WELL AS 28 new stitches when you´ve knitted the first row (make backward loops).
Place all s on some spare needles when the piece is about 31.9”

Front pieces
The front pieces are knitted seperately.
Start from the right side. Cast on 28 new stitches at the beginning of the row. K 70 (80) 90 in the same pattern as before, K7, P3.
Turn and P3, K7.
Place all s on some spare needles when the piece is about 31.9”

Knit the other front piece. Start from the right side and cast on 30 s (for collar) at the beginning of the row. Knit pattern, K7, P3. Cast on 28 stitches at the end of the row by making backward loops. Turn, P7, K3.
Continue in pattern until the piece is about 31.9”

Collar
Use kitchener´s stitch to assemble the shoulders. Leave the inner 20 stitches on each front piece for the collar. Cast off the remaining s in the back loosely.

Tip: Look up kitcheners stitch on youtube, if you´re unfamiliar with it.
Weaving knit-stitches:
Top needle: Knit, stitch off, purl, leave stitch on
Bottom needle: Purl, stitch off, knit, leave stitch on



Weaving transitions between knit and purl stitches:
Top needle: Knit, stitch off, knit, leave stitch on
Bottom needle: Purl, stitch off, purl, leave stitch on



Weaving transitions between purl and knit stitches:
Top needle: Purl, stitch off, purl, leave stitch on
Bottom needle: Knit, stitch off, knit leave stitch on

Weaving purl-stitches:
Top needle: Purl, stitch off, knit, leave stitch on
Bottom needle: Knit, stitch off, purl, leave stitch on

Contintue knitting the parttern on each of the front pieces until they are 5.5” (try making the collar as long as possible, but make sure to look at the opening in the back, to make sure it fits.
Use kitchener´s stitch to assemble the collar in the back.

Before sewing the collar in the front, make sure to try it on. We prefered to sew it very loosely along the inner edge of the outer
collar. You can also make it tighter by sewing it horizontally on at the inside.
