Miqedem is an Israeli band based in Tel Aviv Yafo, Israel. They are known for their music, the lyrics of which are adapted from the Hebrew Bible. Notable members of the band are Jamie Hilsden, Shai Sol, and Yaron Cherniak. The band has released two albums Miqedem, and Vol 2. of Miqedem.
The uniquely individual Israeli music group known as Miqedem are back with their second full length effort of original songs composed entirely in Hebrew and centered around sacred biblical text. Messengers of Peace is a compilation of synagogue songs that are the result of many years of collaboration between Cantor Mark Childs and pianist/composer Bob Remstein. Bob has been the pianist for Congregation B'nai B'rith of Santa Barbara, CA since 1986 and has been commissioned to compose many great works for the congregation. A few are featured on the recording Cycles and Symbols. Messengers of Peace is comprised entirely of his music performed by Cantor Childs and members of the CBB Shir Chadash Choir.

Piris Eliyahu (Hebrew: פרץ אליהו) is an Israeli tar player, composer and music researcher.
For many years, Eliyahu researched the music of Eastern Jewry, with an emphasis on the Northern Caucasus. This research continued following his immigration to Israel in the framework of the Centre for the Study of Jewish Music of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 1989 he won a research grant from the Memorial Fund for Jewish Culture (New York). His book "Music of the Mountain Jews" (with CD) was published in 1999 by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
In this new recording, composer Piris Eliyahu, an ethno-musician, a master of Middle-Eastern Music, a teacher and a Tar player, presents us with his lastest composition which was inspired by the Book of Psalms and was based on King David's psalms.
