SF == San Francisco

---
i know that I pay a lot more because I live in SF and in
what's considered a "bad" neighborhood. i'm telling you,
those people suck shit. and they all have little shit-sucking
children. and, yes, I am being kind about them

for most accidents/incidents where you will need work
done, the "smart" deductible is ~$500

however, most car repairs are usually between $200-$450
if you pay higher rates for a $250 deductible, you will end
up paying a much higher premium

and so you pay for the very rare instance when something
catastrophic happens

and even then you are usually covered by your health insurance

insurance companies also like to make a big deal of jury awards
-- that these are driving up rates

the reality is that these companies make a fuck load of money
and want to limit how much they have to pay out in order to
widen their already considerable profit margins

and consumers get fucked up the ass because they are paying
for a system in which, increasingly, their ability to act is
hampered by regulators and legistators who are more interested
in campaign money from these companies

i really wouldn't mind so much if I at least had decent health
coverage -- you know, not worrying about making sure I have
two doctor's signatures before I can receive life saving
treatment(s)
