Gaetano Fedele Polidori (5 August 1763 – 16 December 1853) was an Italian writer

 

How such a thing had come into Polidori's own possession I cannot say — possibly from his old friend and housemate, Signor Giovanni Amedeo Deagostini, who likewise had been an Italian teacher, instructing among others the Princess Charlotte, heiress to the British crown.
