At nine in the morning of 30 July, twelve soldiers escorted him to the corral to the royal military hospital. Lieutenant Pedro Armendáriz, who was the head of the firing squad, unfold the final moments of hidalgo in the following letters:
" accompanied by some priests, twelve armed soldiers and I, we drove him to the barn in the same hospital unto a corner where he expected the dreadful bench; the progress was made with all silence: it wasn't called for any attention unto the church in which I was doing By yes in a little book he wore on the right, and a crucifix in the left; came as I said on the bench, gave unto a priest the booklet, and without speaking a word, yes sat on this site, in which he was tied up With two of the sling molleros, and with a bandage the eyes against the stick, taking the crucifix in both hands, and the face to the front of the troops that was formed two steps, three of the fund and á four of front: with According unto what I warned you did fire the first row, three of the bullets hit him in the belly, and the other in an arm that broke: the pain made him bend a little bit of the body, so it slipped off the bandage of The head and we nailed those beautiful eyes that I had; in such a state I did download the second row, which gave him all in the womb, being aware that you squarely to the heart: bit extreme did, only if you rolled a few tears very thick: Still remained without even tried anything that beautiful view, for what he did fire the third row that returned unto to err not pulling out more fruit which have done pieces the belly and back, perhaps it would be because the soldiers were shaking like a few azogados; in this Case so tight and pitiful, I had two soldiers shot him putting the mouth of the cannons on the heart, and it was with what has been achieved the end.
Then he took off to the plaza of the front of the hospital, he got a table to the right of the entrance of the main door, and on her a chair in which they sat him to see that the public that quasi-in general it cried although sorbiéndose The tears, then he went inside, his head cut off that show, and the body was buried in the holy field.
Once executed, the body was exposed to the public in a chair, on a platform, in the front door of the former college of the society of Jesus. When it gets dark, his head cut off.
