Well, the phone is a receiving device already with a radio frequency of 900Ghz - 1900Ghz. A well written program can be written to do it.Afterall, it does have a Flash memory.Love your examples but your thinking is limited.

A well written program can make use of all possibilities of device
capabilities, but it cannot do something the device cannot do.
As to the device, to be exact, a 900/1800 (not 900-1800) Mhz device
has a built-in transmitter-receiver capable of working in such ranges:
900 Mhz standard
890-915 Mhz phone-transmitter, station-receiver
935-960 Mhz station-transmitter, phone-receiver
1800 Mhz standard
1710-1785 Mhz phone-transmitter, station-receiver
1805-1880 Mhz station-transmitter, phone-receiver

This is defined physically by transmitting-receiving device, and
cannot be modified.
For example USA GSM 850 Mhz standrad which working ranges are:
824-849 Mhz phone-transmitter, station-receiver
869-894 Mhz station-transmitter, phone-receiver
The phone made for such standard cannot work in Europe with 900Mhz
standard because of 50 Mhz difference in the range, which is
changed if needed by physically replacing the transmitter-receiver
device.

FM radio transmits and the receiver is expected to receive in the
range of 84/88-108 Mhz which makes about 10 times difference.

So, if you think you can find a way to emulate it, you should
do it and sell such software yourself - you will certainly
have a huge success on the international market.

Anyhow with our limited thinking we judge it as impossible and
therefore do not have such software neither ambitions to do it.
