Poets - Tour Diaries - Part 5 Cities of Blazing Lights Rivers, islands, bridges beyond bridges and arbors in between. Underground atmosphere, fresco sky ceilings and thoroughfares of garden lights. Wizard towers, business powers and the melding together of our days and nights. Two separate worlds sharing the same cloak. I marvel at all this regalia, fingerprints of megalomania, details of devils and gods. I drink in the people, such visions, some like banners, some like an emrace from afar, all of them the beating hearts of the city, the lights that blaze. And I check the time, that soapy slick, breathless urgency. That old man is always at odds with permanence and remembrance, quarrelling or in a hurry. And I can’t help but wonder, how often do we pause in the presence of it all, to appreciate, to bask in the shifting luminosity, to behold and appreciate the gem that is life, and the world we are living in. How readily do we recognize the value of such idleness? Considering our everyday concerns and matters of perceived importance, zooming in and out of these cities of blazing lights. Города сияющих огней
Реки, острова, мосты за мостами и беседки между ними. Андеграундная атмосфера, фрески небесных сводов и улицы садовых фонарей. Волшебные башни, могущество бизнеса и слияние наших дней и ночей. Слишком разные миры под одним плащом.
Я удивляюсь всем этим регалиям, отпечаткам мании величия, деталям дьяволов и богов. И я упиваюсь людьми, подобно видениям, некоторые из них напоминают знамена, другие - будто объятия издалека, все они - бьющиеся сердца города, сияющие огни.
И я проверяю время, это мыльное пятно,, бездыханную срочность. Этот старик всегда не в ладах с постоянством и памятью, ссорится или спешит.
И я не могу не задаться вопросом, как часто мы останавливаемся перед всем этим, чтобы оценить, погреться в изменчивом сиянии, рассмотреть и оценить сокровище, которым является жизнь, и мир, в котором мы живем. Насколько легко мы осознаем ценность такой праздности? Учитывая наши повседневные заботы и вопросы кажущейся важности, мы то приближаемся, то удаляемся от этих сияющих огнями городов.
О, пора идти, опаздываю на саундчек.
