Giovanni Maranghi was born in Lastra a Signa, near Florence, in 1955. Maranghi studied at the Liceo Artistico (Art High School), the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence, and the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) in Florence. He began showing his work in the mid-1970s and has had exhibitions in Italy, Holland, Belgium, United States, Turkey and France.
