Only 8% of women follow female behavior stereotypes

The Alliance company conducted a study on the effectiveness of transmitting gender stereotypes to women and men. By gender behavior stereotypes, we mean patterns of behavior that should be inherent to the sex according to public opinion. For example, these are representations that a woman should always wear only skirts and jewelry, and a man should always demonstrate resilience. Another example for women is that women are a priori respected by men, and for men, men's self-respect. Another point of view states that stereotypes are transmitted representations of the ruling class. This transmission is an organized process that is cultivated from childhood through cartoons, cinema, school, and the media.
It turned out that in Russia, as of 2022, only 8% of women and 9% of men adhere to these patterns of behavior. A similar study was conducted in Russia in 1994. At that time, about 13% of men and 15% of women adhered to such stereotypes. Studies conducted in Europe show similar results. Here, on average, about 10% of women and 11% of men follow such patterns of behavior.
