Massurrealism represents an evolution of art rooted in the combination of mass media and surrealist imagery, a creative tendency based on the further evolution of surrealism, with technology and mass media being the catalyst. Massurrealism is the marriage of mass media subjects and techniques to the surreal, which are individually expressed by each artist. These techniques bridge the gap between the traditional and the newer media. Over time, newer media and technology evolve, changing what is considered to be mass-media. Massurrealism follows this developmental vector as the tools used by contemporary artists shifted through the late 20th and early 21st century, incorporating the use of more electronic-based media and methods, which embody the mystery of today's society.
