Destine. Part 14.

Суббота, 26 Мая 2007 г. 17:22 + в цитатник
So, here I go. Five days from now. I finally realized that I can't imagine my life without Destine, and the fact he gave me some unique abilities wasn't the reason I thought so. He taught me to understand many things that would help me in my life. What is more, I really fell for him, and I think it was love. Nobody could win my heart, neither Page nor Critter; I liked them just as friends. Just like The Midnight Oil sing, "we carry in our hearts a true country, and that cannot be stolen".
He was going to be twenty-three and I was only eighteen. The difference was five years, not too much for me or anyone else.
I remembered all what he had said to me. All the time we spent together: our holidays on the Great Barrier Reef, admiring the stars of Warburton, seeing Orion, traveling to the Rocky Mountains. I recalled how he had said that most of the unique people are lonely. He has often repeated: “Love changes, changes ev’rything, love makes you fly and breaks your wings”. That wasn’t his idea, although it was his opinion. He didn’t keep his ghost powers in secret, but he didn’t say about them to anyone until he trusted that person.
He knew all about Page’s will to do something extreme like joyriding, Jay’s seeking for a man and my inner feelings. He could even foresee some things that were about to happen and maybe that’s why he’s got his nickname. That wasn’t strange.
But there were many things I wanted to figure out. What was his real name? Did he have any more brothers and sisters? Where had his parents gone? Why did he live in a small bungalow together with his big bro? Did he love someone? Was he a part human, part ghost, or full ghost, or human with ghost powers? I lost my mind thinking of that. He didn’t like to speak about himself. The only things that I was able to know are that he was 22 years old for now and his last name was Madison. I knew nothing else.
Maybe I had to talk about him with Tommy or Jay? Why haven’t I done that before? Because I didn’t want to interrupt his social life, am I right?
Here we go. I sat down in the living room waiting for Tommy. He was supposed to be back home in no time. Finally, he walked in, but in a half of minute two guys in the uniform broke in shouting “Thomas Page, you’re under arrest!”
Then, looking at me, added: “You too.”

To be continued.
