Этьен Адольф Пиот родился в Digoin, Франция. Дата рождения точно не известна. Чаще всего называется 1850 год. Приехал в Париж и начал заниматься под руководством художника Leon Cogniet. Выставлялся в салонах, был членом Societe des Artistes Francais, Membre Perpetuel, участвовал во Всемирной выставке (1889).
