Equipment
- Crystal bicone 4 mm.
- Seed bead 11/0
- Nylon thread No.25

The small blue bead ball used seed bead 8/0 and 11/0.

1.



Cut the thread around 90 cm. Make a ring of five seed beads.

I believe you know how to make this basic motif. If you don't, please refer to this tutorial step 1 - 5. This bead ball will do this basic motif around the five seed beads.

Cross both threads at the seed bead (red arrow).

You don't have to use different colors here. I just want to make it clear and easier to follow.

Put the thread into the next blue seed bead. Add another two seed beads. Cross both threads at the new seed bead (red arrow). Altogether, there will be five seed beads.

This is the start point of the second round.

Put the thread into the blue crystal. Add one seed bead, one crystal and one seed bead. Cross both threads at the new crystal (red arrow).

Put the left thread into the seed bead (red arrow). For the other thread, add one seed bead, one crystal and one seed bead. Cross both threads at the crystal (blue arrow).

Put the left thread into the next seed bead and crystal (red arrows).

Pick up the other thread, add one seed bead and one crystal. Cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

Put the left thread into next blue seed beads (red arrows) and add one seed bead (blue arrow). Cross both threads at a seed bead (green arrow).

Put the right thread into the crystal (red arrow). Add one seed bead, one crystal and one seed bead. Cross both threads at a crystal (blue arrow).

Put the left thread into the next seed bead and crystal (red arrows).

For the right thread, add one seed bead and one crystal. Cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

Repeat step 8 - 11 all around the bead ball.

You will come to the start point of the second round. Just pass your left thread to the two blue seed beads and to the first red seed bead. Cross both threads at a new seed bead (red arrow).

Put your thread into the next crystal on both sides (red arrows).

Pick up the right thread, add one seed bead and one crystal. Cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

This is the same as step 8. Put the left thread into the next two red seed beads. Add one new green seed bead. Cross both threads at a new seed bead (red arrow).

This is the last round. I use green beads. And this step is the same as step 9.

For the right thread, add one seed bead, one crystal and one seed bead. Cross both threads at a crystal (red arrow).

This is the same as step 10. Put the left thread into the next seed bead and crystal (red arrows).

This step is the same as step 11. For the right thread, add one seed bead and one crystal. Cross both threads at the seed bead (red arrow).

Put the left thread into the next three seed beads. Cross both threads at a new seed bead (red arrow).

Put each thread to the next crystal on each side (red arrow).

Pick up the right thread, add one seed bead and one crystal. Cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

Repeat step 19 - 21 one more time.

You should get five green crystals now.

We repeat step 19 again. Put your left thread to the next three seed beads. Cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

We repeat step 20 again. Put each thread to the next crystal on each side (blue arrows).

Add one seed bead to each thread. Cross both threads at a first green crystal (red arrow).

Use remaining the threads to connect all loose seed beads together. Feel free to string the threads back into the beads as you like.



I made three bead balls and thread them together with rose quartz and Chinese rondelle crystals.

These bead balls require lot of practice. It seems difficult at first but when you get use to it, it's quite easy. Don't give up if you can't make it in the first try.
