Today in why is this news?
Ariana Grande posted a series of very important tweets about soup. During a discussion with her friends and family, she tweets, “guys we’re at dinner discussing what soups we’d be if we were soups and everyone knows what soup they’d be immediately and each answer is so different and specific so now i ask u.... if u were a soup .... with which soup do u identify ?”
Grande herself identifies as “either butternut squash or miso,” while her mom “cream of mushroom w a cognac.” They even ask their waitress this burning question. Her reply before Ari could even finish the question? “tempura udon.” Wow. I can sleep well tonight knowing all of this, and now you can too. You’re welcome.

Chicago police have completely reversed course and announced that they released both men without charges.Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi released a statement saying,
"Due to new evidence as a result of today's interrogations, the individuals questioned by police in the Empire case have now been released without charging and detectives have additional investigative work to complete." He also said that the Osundairo brothers are no longer suspects.ABC7 in Chicago is once again reporting that police are investigating whether Smollett staged the attack, although on Thursday night police had issued a statement denying they had any evidence of it being a hoax.
