- The film is a romance between two teens - a Jamaican American girl Natasha Kingsley (Yara Shahidi) who is getting deported with her family in 24 hours and Korean American Daniel Bae (Charles Melton), a teen romantic who thinks their meeting is fate.
- Based off a young adult book from the author of "Everything, Everything" by Nicola Yoon (was also adapted into a film starring Amandla Stenberg)
- Directed by Ry Russo-Young (Before I Fall). Screenplay by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip)
- Comes out May 17th

BAFTA Film Awards says it has suspended Bryan Singer’s nomination for Bohemian Rhapsody in the Outstanding British Film Category. The film remains in that race , and the other people nominated on its behalf — Graham King and Anthony McCarten — are also still eligible. 

The suspension is “in light of recent very serious allegations” against Singer.

Swedish dance bop trip hop queen Neneh Cherry dropped the video for the single “Natural Skin Deep” from her fifth album (and one of the best albums from 2018) Broken Politics. The video was directed by Akinola Davies who has also directed videos for Blood Orange and Klein. The video features Cherry performing with some classic tipsy auntie at the cookout dance moves in Beirut while people watch her through their phones.

Here was what Davies said inspired the video: “There is a lot going on in video truth be told, I went to see Neneh play at Village Underground and everyone whipped out their phones to film her, so much so I got asked by this guy to move because I was in the way of his phone. Seemed quite ironic that the world is right here in front of us, really 360-degree drama. Instead of communicating through screens maybe we’re all consuming it through screens.”

Broken Politics was produced by Four Tet with guest production from Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja on “Kong”.

Tyra Banks is opening a model theme park called ModelLand some time in 2019. It will be located in the Santa Monica Place mall in Santa Monica, California.

"Anybody can enter and feel like a model."

They will also be able to try on "custom-created pieces crafted by Hollywood costume designers and stylists," and of course purchase ModelLand merchandise. However you will not be able to walk a runway.

“That’s low hanging fruit. This is bursting the door open and redefining what a model is. It’s all about inclusiveness,” she said.
