- He wasnt hiding his status, he didn't wanna get deported, he moved here at 7, was very young when his visa expired he didn't know what a visa was at the time
- His arrrest was a targeted operation, he wasnt told anything, they arrested him and said "we got savage"
- In 2017 he applied to be a permanent resident??
- Jay Z apparently provided the best possible legal team to get him out and kept in the country

After about a dozen release dates changes in the last like two years, 'Alita: Battle Angel' is finally out in theaters, has already made $8.7M on Thursday, and is estimated to make around $36M-$38M. I should note - and no one should be surprised - that this insanity cost $165M-$170M after tax breaks.

Also out is the rom-com 'Isn't it Romantic,' which made $4.4M on Thursday and is expected to gross $20M-$23M this weekend (on a $5M budget, apparently, damn nice). The third new release is the sequel 'Happy Death Day 2U,' which cost pennies to make (well compared to Alita anyway) and $2.7M on Thursday, and is expected to haul $10M-$12M this weekend, on a $6M budget.

The wrestling comedy 'Fighting With My Family' was also released, but very limited this weekend before a huge release next weekend. In 4 theaters in NYC/LA it made $35,000 on Thursday. It'll expand to over 2500 theaters next weekend, going up against 'How to Train Your Dragon 3'.

She posted the images to her Instagram but promptly deleted them after facing backlash on the platform, with many saying the photos were modeled upon the country’s colonial and slaveholding past.

“Cond'e Nast International is aware of the hurt and dismay caused by images of the private birthday party of Donata Meirelles, Style Director of Vogue Brazil. Vogue Brazil is going to set up a working group of scholars and activists that will help the team to more deeply understand the history of slavery and the lasting pain it has left behind. As a company, we have zero tolerance for racism and images evoking racism. Cond'e Nast International is a force for positive societal change and stands for diversity and inclusiveness.”
