Как сказать правильно?... |
Я вообще -то язык знаю неплохо, особенно в плане разговорной части - болтаю быстро, хотя ошибки проскальзывают) А вот грамматику, по ходу, начала забывать. Недавно болтала по телефону с моим американским другом и нужно было сказать одну фразу.. А я запнулась и поняла, что НЕ ЗНАЮ, как правильно будет сказать)

Musical Mondegreen... |
Some songs have clear lyrics, some songs have completely unintelligible lyrics, but in some songs it is also easy to hear one thing when they actually sing something else. These misheard lyrics are called "mondegreens", after the term was coined in 1954. Sylvia Wright wrote an article about an old Scottish ballad she had misheard as a child.
The lyrics sounded like:
They had slain the Earl of Murray,
And Lady Mondegreen.
It sounded like a song about a Lord and Lady who were killed, but in reality, the words are actually:
They had slain the Earl of Murray,
And laid him on the green.

Оказывается, это аббривиатура от For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge – «за незаконное плотское познание». В средние века за пользование услугами проституток существовало наказание для обеих сторон вплоть до виселицы. И когда преступника выводили на публичную казнь, у него на шее висела табличка F.U.C.K.

The Facts of Life... |
This is story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could've done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
