Акварель... тонкая техника живописи специальными акварельными красками. Суть акварели в отраженном бумагой свете, проходящем через прозрачные слои краски. Сами истоки акварели восходят к китайской водяной живописи. Мастерски владея техникой письма маслом, можно совсем не уметь делать тоже самое акварельными красками. Может быть поэтому так интересны эти нежные работы? Они легки, воздушны, как бы прозрачны. Особенно хорошо на акварелях получаются цветы и природа.
Американский художник-самоучка Нenry Roderick Newman один из тех, кто мастерски владел техникой акварели. Его картины имеют необычный фон, на котором центром внимания становятся цветы, растения, плоды.
