Big motif

Round 1: Make 5ch, 23tr/dc in last ch, sl.st in 5th ch.

Round 2: Turn, insert your hook under 4chs (see picture below) and work sl.st, turn and work 4ch, * 1BPtr/dc over tr/dc below, 1ch; rep from *, more 22 times, sl.st in 3rd ch.

Round 3: FTurn, insert your hook under 4chs, work sl.st, turn and work 5ch, * 1BPtr/dc over BPtr/dc below, 2ch; rep from *, more 22 times, sl.st in 3rd ch.

Round 4: Repeat Round 3.

Round 5: Make 1ch, work 3dc/sc in each space of 2ch, sl.st in 1st ch.

Round 6: Make 1ch, work 1dc/sc in each of the next dc/sc below, sl.st in 1st ch.

Round 7: Make 1ch, * 1dc/sc in each of the next 2dc/sc, 1 FPP over BPtr/dc of 4th round: the pictures below show you the way to make it easily. Yarn over and insert your hook under the first BPtr/dc,

draw yarn up.

Repeat this step 5 times more (work in the same space).

Yarn over hook and draw through 12 loops, yarn over hook and draw through all loops.

Skip 1st; rep from * more 22 times, 1dc/sc in each of the next 2dc/sc, 1 FPP over 3ch sl.st in 1st ch.

Round 8: Make 1ch, *1dc/sc in each of the next 2dc/sc, 3ch, skip FPP; more 22 times, 1dc/sc in each of the next 2dc/sc, 1ch, 1tr/dc in 1st ch.

Round 9: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in space of tr/dc and ch, * 5ch, 1dc/sc in space of 3ch; rep from * more 22 times, 2ch, 1tr/dc in 1st ch.

Round 10: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in space of tr/dc and 2ch, * make [1tr/dc + 1ch] – 5 times and 1tr/dc in 1st space of 5ch, 2dc/sc in secon space of 5ch; rep from * more 10 times, [1tr/dc + 1ch] – 5 times and 1tr/dc in next space of 5ch, 1dc/sc in space of tr/dc and 2ch, sl.st in 1st ch.

Round 11: Turn, insert your hook under 1st tr/dc below, work sl.st, turn and work 5ch, {1BPtr/dc + 2ch over the 2nd tr/dc, 1 BPtr/dc + 5ch over the 3rd tr/dc, sl.st in 4th ch from hook, 1ch, 1BPtr/dc + 2ch over the each of the next 2 tr/dc, 1BPtr/dc over the last (6th) tr/dc.}

Work in the same manner over the each shell of 6tr/dc below: make 1BPtr/dc + 2ch over the 1st tr/dc and repeat step in { }. Work sl.st in 3rd ch after the last shell.

Joining

Join motifs in last round. Work [1ch + 1dc/sc in picot of another motif + 1ch] instead [5ch, sl.st in 4th ch from hook, 1ch].

Little motif for joining

Make 5ch, join it to the ring making sl/st in last ch.

Round 1: Make 3ch, 18tr/dc, sl.st in 3rd ch.

Round 2: Make 2ch, 1dc/sc in next tr/dc, * 1tr/dc in space between two tr/dc of big motif (see picture), 1 dc/sc in each of the next 3tr/dc of little motif, 1d.tr/tr in picot of big motif, 1 dc/sc in each of the next 3tr/dc of little motif;

rep from *, more 2 times and work [1dc/sc + sl.st in 2nd ch] instead [3dc/sc] at the end of the round.

Materials: hook size 4/0 - 2.5mm and 100% cotton, 50g - 250m.

Materials: hook size 2/0 - 1.5mm and 100% cotton thread.

This design was inspired by the beautiful and unique textured doilies of Patricia Kristoffersen!
