Puede que algunos alimentos que consideras completamente normales y saludables, sean en realidad una pesadilla para tu estómago. En la actualidad, la cantidad y variedad de alimentos causantes de úlceras y acidez estomacal es cada vez más grande, por lo que te sorprenderás al descubrir que productos comunes, como el tomate, o la naranja, pueden ser extremadamente perjudiciales para la salud del sistema digestivo. Antes de pasar a las soluciones naturales para tratar este molesto problema, es importante profundizar nuestro conocimiento sobre las causas y síntomas de estas condiciones:

¿Qué son las úlceras estomacales?
 
Muchas personas confunden las úlceras pépticas con la acidez estomacal. Sin embargo, a pesar de presentar síntomas similares, estas condiciones están lejos de ser iguales. Las úlceras son pequeñas llagas abiertas que se forman en el revestimiento interno del estómago y pequeñas áreas del intestino, causando intensos dolores.
 
¿Cuáles son las causas?
 
La Helicobacter pylori es una de las principales bacterias responsable por la aparición de infecciones estomacales que luego derivan en úlceras. Esta bacteria se desarrolla debido a la ingesta de ciertos fármacos, alimentación inadecuada, y exceso de acidez estomacal. 
 
¿Cuáles son los síntomas asociados a las úlceras estomacales?
 
Los síntomas más comunes incluyen dolor y ardor que comienza en el extremo superior del pecho y se extiende hacia la zona del ombligo. También pueden presentarse dolores entre 2 y 3 horas después de comer, acompañados de leves sensaciones de náuseas. Por lo general, estos dolores desaparecen luego de haber vomitado. 
 
Alimentos y bebidas que debes evitar si tienes úlceras estomacales
 
 
Café: esta bebida estimula la producción de ácido y puede causar serios problemas de indigestión. 
 
Alcohol: las bebidas alcohólicas pueden irritar y deteriorar el revestimiento del estómago y el intestino delgado, estimulando la aparición de úlceras. 
 
Comidas picantes: algunos tipos de picante utilizados en platos mexicanos o asiáticos pueden causar acidez estomacal de forma inmediata. En lo posible, evita el consumo de estos alimentos, ya que aumentan la producción de ácido y la intensidad de los dolores. 
 
¿Qué es la acidez estomacal?
 
Esta condición se produce cuando el ácido estomacal regresa del esófago hasta alcanzar el área de la garganta. Además de causar ardor y dolor, esta molesta condición suele dejar un sabor desagradable en la boca. Los especialistas estiman que 1 de cada 5 personas sufren de acidez estomacal.
 
¿Cuáles son las causas? 
 
La causa más común de acidez estomacal es el mal funcionamiento del esfínter esofágico inferior, que no puede contraerse como debería, y permite que el contenido estomacal se devuelve al esófago. Los alimentos poco saludables, en especial las comidas fritas o grasosas, estimulan la formación de acidez estomacal. Por otro lado, la ingesta excesiva de alimentos también puede causar acumulación de reflujo ácido, debido al exceso de presión sobre el estómago. 
 
¿Cuáles son los síntomas asociados a la acidez estomacal?
 
Los síntomas de la acidez estomacal o el reflujo incluyen tos seca, dolor e irritación en la garganta que causa dificultad para tragar, sensación de ardor, y sabor desagradable en la boca. Todos estos síntomas se intensifican cuando la persona está acostada.
 
Alimentos y bebidas que debes evitar si tienes acidez estomacal
 
 
Frutas cítricas: aunque estas frutas puedes ser ideales para tratar un resfrió, su alto grado de acidez causa ardor e irritación, en especial cuando el estómago está vacío.
 
Ajo y cebolla: si bien ambos vegetales son esenciales en una dieta saludable, es muy posible que el ajo y la cebolla causen serios problemas en personas que sufren de acidez crónica. 
 
Bebidas gaseosas: los componentes de estas bebidas son uno de los principales responsables la distención gástrica, y el subsecuente reflujo e indigestión. Siempre es mejor elegir el agua por sobre las bebidas gaseosas. 
 
Tratamientos naturales para la acidez estomacal
 
 
1) Llevar una dieta saludable - Hay muchos alimentos que son excelentes para la salud, pero muy malos para la acidez estomacal, como la carne picada, la crema agria, el queso cottage, la cebolla, el tomate y las frutas cítricas. Para prevenir la ocurrencia de acidez, te recomendamos evitar el consumo de alimentos fritos y procesados, y beber abundante agua en lugar de bebidas gaseosas. 
 
2) Enzimas y probióticos - Gracias a su sorprendente habilidad para mejorar la digestión, los probióticos se han ganado el título de “bacteria buena”. Estos microorganismos minimizan el crecimiento de bacterias nocivas y estimulan el funcionamiento del sistema inmune. Los probióticos, que pueden conseguirse como suplementos en farmacias, deberían ser ingeridos junto con otro suplemento de ácido clorhídrico de manera de suavizar la digestión. 
 
3) Jugo de aloe vera - Durante cientos de años, esta bebida ha sido utilizada para tratar la acidez estomacal y otras condiciones médicas. Se recomienda beber ¼ de taza de jugo de aloe vera, unos 20 minutos antes de cada comida, o cuando comiences a sentir los síntomas de la acidez. Si no te gusta el sabor, puedes intentar mezclar el jugo con agua o té. Este tratamiento no es aconsejado en personas con diabetes, enfermedades renales, problemas de tiroides, mujeres embarazadas y niños. 
 
4) Vinagre de manzana - Aunque suene irónico, el vinagre de manzana es utilizado para tratar la acumulación de ácido en el estómago. Mezcla una o dos cucharadas de vinagre de manzana con un vaso de agua, y bebe el líquido resultante antes de cada comida o cuando sientas que los síntomas están comenzando a atacarte.
 
5) Bicarbonato de sodio - Todo lo que necesitas para aliviar el reflujo es un poco de bicarbonato de sodio. Mezcla una cucharada de bicarbonato con un vaso de agua y bébelo cada vez que sientas molestias estomacales. Aunque el sabor no es el más agradable, la efectividad de los resultados lo compensa. 
 
Tratamientos naturales para las úlceras estomacales
 
 
1) Jugo de repollo - Esta bebida está cargada con antioxidantes que ayudan a prevenir las úlceras estomacales. El repollo tiene grandes cantidades de vitaminas A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, K, y ácido fólico, todos ellos aliados a la hora de prevenir la formación de úlceras y combatir el cáncer. 
 
2) Zinc-L-carnosina - Durante varios años, el zinc-carnosina ha sido utilizado para tratar úlceras estomacales y otros problemas intestinales. La función de este nutriente es reparar los tejidos dañados, y curar las heridas de la úlcera.
 
Dosis recomendada: tratamiento de 75 mg diarios, en dosis divididas, durante 8 semanas.
 
3) Probióticos - Estos microorganismos mejoran las funciones intestinales y ayudan a combatir la bacteria Helicobacter pylori. Además, son utilizados para prevenir otros tipos de problemas gástricos, como diarrea o enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal.
 
Dosis recomendada: toma un probiótico de 1 a 2 millones de UFC por día.
 
4) Glutamina - La glutamina reduce considerablemente la inflamación causada por una infección de bacteria Helicobacter pylori. Los suplementos de este aminoácido pueden conseguirse en cualquier farmacia o tienda para la salud. 
 
Dosis recomendada: para tratar úlceras estomacales, toma 1 gr de glutamina por día.
 
5) Raíz de jengibre - Este producto inhibe el accionar de la bacteria helicobacter pylori. Prepara una infusión con agua caliente y varios trozos de raíz de jengibre, y bébela 20 minutos antes de cada comida.
 
6) Regaliz deglicirrizinado - El regaliz desglicirrizinado, conocido como GDL por sus siglas en inglés, hace maravillas con las úlceras pépticas, ya que brinda una excelente protección para el revestimiento del estómago e intestino delgado.
 
Dosis recomendada  - Se recomienda tomar de 200 a 400 mg diarios de regaliz desglicirrizinado disuelto en agua.
 
7) Astaxantina - Estos poderosos antioxidantes ayudan a proteger el tracto gastrointestinal, y reducir los síntomas del reflujo. Las propiedades de la astaxantina también ayudan a combatir las infecciones por bacteria Helicobacter pylori.
 
Dosis recomendada: 40 mg diarios.
 
Bonus: ¿Cómo preparar un licuado anti-reflujo? 
 
1 taza de piña fresca cortada en cubos.
1 taza de papaya fresca cortada en cubos.

Eduard Furman Галя и Фима! Все время думаю об этой проблеме жизни.В последние дни стал усиленно изучать английский язык . Читаю "Time" с ручкой в руке. Возвращаюсь к моим занятиям арабским и испанским языкам.Я побелил квартиру. Я стал бегать трусцой. На иврите это называется рица кала.Я хожу на занятия -гитамлут бе маим.Стараюсь вести здоровое питание.И конечно ко всему этому стараюсь привлекать мою подругу жизни. Мы ее пишем Cilia.Мы хотим говорить с ней на английском языке.

Con sus lentes infalibles, la anciana vio a su nieta parada contra la pared y le preguntó: ¿Para qué es esta fila, querida?” Para no revelar su secreto, la muchacha le dijo que en ese edificio estaban dando naranjas gratis, y que estaba en la fila esperando su turno.

Views: After an elderly lady from Florida finished her shopping and returned to her car, she found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her gun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs:


The four men didn't wait for a second threat.

 

 

 

They got out and ran like mad. The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then she realized why.


It was for the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee, and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat.

 

 

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.
 

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun. No charges were filed.
 

Moral of the story? If you're going to have a senior moment...make it memorable!

There's nothing quite as appetizing as a bowl of hot soup on a cold winter's day. These 11 mouth-watering soup recipes, containing less than 300 calories each, will keep you warm this winter season. 
 
1. French Onion Soup

Ingredients:
•    8 cups less-sodium beef broth
•    8 (1-ounce) slices reduced-fat, reduced-sodium Swiss cheese (such as Alpine Lace)
•    8 (1-ounce) slices French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
•    4 cups thinly vertically sliced Walla Walla or other sweet onion
•    4 cups thinly vertically sliced red onion
•    2 teaspoons olive oil 
•    1/2 teaspoon sugar
•    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 
•    1/4 cup dry white wine
•    1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
•    1/4 teaspoon salt 


Directions:
•    Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. 
•    Add onions to pan, and sauté for 5 minutes or until tender.
•    Stir in sugar, pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. 
•    Reduce heat to medium, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. 
•    Increase heat to medium-high, and sauté for 5 minutes or until onion is golden brown. 
•    Stir in wine, and cook for 1 minute. 
•    Add broth and thyme, and bring to a boil. 
•    Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 hours.
•    Preheat Broiler
•    Place bread in a single layer on a baking sheet, and broil for 2 minutes or until toasted, turning after 1 minute.
•    Place 8 ovenproof bowls on a jelly-roll pan. 
•    Ladle 1 cup soup into each bowl. 
•    Divide bread evenly among bowls, and top each serving with 1 cheese slice. 
•    Broil 3 minutes or until cheese begins to brown.

5 Tests to See if You're in Shape

Staying in shape is essential for our health. For every year we don’t exercise, we lose 0.5lbs (0.2kg) in muscle tissue, which can lead to problems such as infertility and even diabetes. The less in shape we are, the slower our metabolism is, which increases the risk of injuries and illnesses. At a later age, these issues can prevent us from enjoying our favorite activities with beloved family members.

Fortunately, it is almost always possible to get back in shape. These five tests will let you know how strong and limber you are, and will tell you whether or not you should hit the gym. This way you’ll be able to enjoy a rich and fulfilling life and not feel as if your body is betraying you.

 

1. Cardio

If you’re in good physical shape, you should be able to get off the sofa with ease, play with your kids and grandkids, enjoy a nature hike, and feel like you did when you wereyounger.

The test:

Run or walk for 12 minutes as fast as you can. It is better to do this on a level plain, preferably with shoes that give good support. Compare the distance you’ve passed to the results below to figure out your level of cardio.

Age 40-49:

  • Not good: Less than 1.2 miles (1.8 km)
  • Acceptable: 1.2-1.5 miles (18-2 km)
  • Good: 1.5-1.7 miles (2-2.2 km)
  • Very good: 1.7-1.9 miles (2.2-2.4 km)
  • Excellent: More than 1.9 miles (2.4 km)

Age 50-59:

  • Not good: Less than 1.1 miles (1.7 km)
  • Acceptable: 1.3-1.4 miles (1.8-1.9 km)
  • Good: 1.4-1.5 miles (1.9-2 km)
  • Very good: 1.5-1.7 miles (2-2.2 km)
  • Excellent: More than 1.7 miles (2.2 km)

Age 60-69:

  • Not good: Less than a mile (1.6 km)
  • Acceptable: 1-1.2 miles (1.6-1.7 km)
  • Good: 1.2-1.3 miles (1.7-1.8 km)
  • Very good: 1.3-1.5 miles (1.8-1.9 km)
  • Excellent: More than 1.5 miles (2 km)

There are many advantages to having good cardio stamina, but if you’re not actively exercising, you are probably in the “Not good” – “Acceptable” range. Luckily for you, it doesn’t take much time to improve your stamina. Simply take a 10-minute run or speed-walk every night, and once it becomes easy, add another 5 minutes, and so on.
