Jameela Jamil posts honest video about living with rare medical condition, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
"It is a serious condition and affects every part of your body and your mind and it is a dangerous thing to have if you don’t know you have it." pic.twitter.com/Hj0AS3xmqw
The actress posted a video to talk about the rare medical condition she lives with. She discussed living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a group of inherited disorders that affect connective tissues. Expressing that having the condition "means always having people doubt your illness because you look okay."
She’s seen pulling on her cheek to show how elastic it is, and reassuring that it’s not a filter. Adding that the joints, nothing bends the right way, everything bends the wrong way.
Sorry for the edit mods but more news came out ever since I submitted the original post.
Human trashcan Andrew Tate has been arrested by police in Romania. Apparently the investigation started because the US embassy got a tip that a girl with US citizenship was held at his house against her will. Several young women were later found in a building, working for Tate's webcam business against their will.

In "nature is healing" news: After getting nuked by Greta Thunberg on Twitter yesterday, trashcan Andrew Tate woke up this morning to the sound of Romanian authorities raiding his home.
According to Romanian news outlet Libertatea the raid, which was carried out by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, was in relation to the abduction of two girls.
Another news outlet reports that a police trailer is on-site, possibly to uplift one or multiple of his vehicles.
There's no official statement from authoritites yet.
Ruggero Deodato is best known for directing the highly controversial found footage film Cannibal Holocaust (1980) which at one point was banned in over 50 countries due to it's extreme violence, sadomachosm and real animals being killed on screen (he would later go on record multiple times saying he regretted this). Following the release of the film in Italy, the film was seized and Deodato was arrested on obsenity charges and was later charged with murder as the courts believed the actors in the film had indeed been killed. In court they had to show how the special effects were done in order to prove no actors had been killed. Desipte charges being dropped his film liscene was taken away. When it was given back 3 years later he directed The House on the Edge of the Park, which became the most censored film during the video nasties era in the United Kingdom.
Deodato made two dozen films spanning multiple genres, including several giallo films. He most recently was working on a cannibal themed video game.
not sure if any other ontders have seen his movies and while i can't recommend cannibal holocaust i think it's an interesting piece of film history, especially since the actors had to testify saying they weren't dead
“There’s no conversation about my career without talking about the ways in which I have been fortunate. I was concerned with making sure people understood I was a hard worker, as if somehow that would absolve me of the privilege.” pic.twitter.com/1QhYxAG9B3
Daughter of Brian Williams weighs in on being a nepo baby:
- says there's no conversation of her career without acknowledging the ways in which she's fortunate
- was concerned with making sure people understood she is a hard worker
- but ultimately isn't defensive about it, “It doesn’t feel like a loss to admit it. If you trust your own skill, I think it becomes very simple to acknowledge.”
Just over two weeks ago (I know, I'm 2kandl8, okay) Chrystia Cabral aka Spellling dropped by the KEXP studios for a perfectly audio engineered session. If you aren't familiar, she makes genre-bending airy fairy, mystical music for people who think astrology is real (no judgment! I love her music okay, I'm just trying to give you an idea of what her music sounds like before you click play if you have never heard of her).
WayV, the Chinese subunit of SM Entertainment's boy band NCT, returned with "Phantom," the title track off their fourth mini album of the same name. This marks the group's first comeback since member Lucas went on indefinite hiatus in August 2021, due to controversy surrounding his past relationships.
The group also performed an English version of "Phantom" on Mnet's M COUNTDOWN, and shared a track video for b-side "Diamonds Only" ahead of the EP's release.
Phantom - The 4th Mini Album is available now on all platforms.
- The GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchor has filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig, an attorney, after nearly 13 years of marriage;
- The pair, who wed in March 2010, share 9-year-old daughter Sabine together;
- The GMA colleagues have not confirmed the relationship rumors fueled from these photos, but a separate source close to the situation told E! News on Dec. 14 that they are "very much together."
- Vladimir Putin gave out gold rings to the eight other leaders of the so-called Commonwealth of Independent States — a group of Moscow-influenced former Soviet republics, reportedly keeping a ninth ring himself;
Putin got tired of being the Hitler of the 21st century and decided to play Lord of the Rings and become a "mighty Sauron".

Avatar: The Way of Water, a film many of you hoped would flop, is doing the exact opposite. After 14 days in release, the film has crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide, with $1.03 billion. Its the 6th fastest film to pass that mark (unadjusted ofc) and the 3rd film this year to do so. It now sits in second place, passing Jurassic World: Dominion's $1.003 billion. It needs to get to $1.488 billion to take the top spot from Top Gun: Maverick and will most likely do so.
The film continues doing solid business domestically. Tuesday's gross of $23.8 million pushed the film over the $300 million mark. ($317.1 million). The film's performance has been compared with Rogue One, as both were released when Christmas fell on a Sunday and grossed similar day-to-day numbers. That film passed the $400 million mark on New Year's Eve and ended with an inflated $561 million, just to give an idea of where TWOW may go from here.
“I look back on some films that I’ve made and I don’t know if I would want to make that film now. I don’t know if I would want to fetishize the gun, like I did on a couple of Terminator movies...What’s happening with guns in our society turns my stomach." https://t.co/QyO53fCarW
The movie would've been 10 minutes longer if he hadn't cut scenes with gun violence in it. He no longer wants to fetishize guns giving the rampant gun violence in the U.S.
He says:"I wanted to get rid of some of the ugliness, to find a balance between light and dark. You have to have conflict, of course. Violence and action are the same thing, depending on how you look at it. This is the dilemma of every action filmmaker, and I’m known as an action filmmaker."
He also looks back at the movies he used to make. "I look back on some films that I've made, and I don’t know if I would want to make that film now. I don't know if I would want to fetishize the gun, like I did on a couple of 'Terminator' movies 30-plus years ago, in our current world. What's happening with guns in our society turns my stomach."
"I'm happy to be living in New Zealand where they just banned all assault rifles two weeks after that horrific mosque shooting a couple of years ago," Cameron added.
He also talks about a possible new Terminator movie. "If I were to do another 'Terminator' film and maybe try to launch that franchise again, which is in discussion, but nothing has been decided, I would make it much more about the AI side of it than bad robots gone crazy.";
