Laura's work, whether watercolor or digital, is warm, inviting and cozy. Just looking at her illustrations can make you feel as if you've climbed up into a nice soft lap for a cuddle and a kiss. She manages to include a bit of comfortable nostalgia and at the same time create illustrations that thoroughly engage today's children.

Megumi Lemons |
Megumi Lemons was born in Kawasaki, Japan and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She has been drawing since childhood and has had a passion for books since that time. A graduate of California State University in Long Beach, Megumi received a BFA with honors in Illustration.
For her illustrations, acrylics and colored pencils are her media of choice. She has illustrated an emergent reader for Scholastic, "Little One Inch," and is a member of SCBWI. ©
