5 Strategies for Developing Critical Thinking

Many of us are not who they can be. 

Each person has a great potential, but only a small

part of people disclose it. The rest are inactive.

It is possible to improve thinking and this process is not fundamentally different

from learning to play the piano, learning languages or creating origami. The difficulty

is that thinking is physically intangible, therefore it is very difficult to track changes. 

The development of thinking, and particularly critical, requires a conscious attitude

towards it and regular practice. Just desire is not enough.

Before learning about the strategies for developing critical thinking, we will find out what phases there are through which a person passes, in his quest to become critically thinking:

Stage one : a non-reflective thinker (not aware of the significant problems of his thinking)

Stage two : the doubting thinker (aware of the problems of his thinking)

Stage four : a practicing thinker (understands the importance of regular and systematic practice)

Stage six : the master (experienced and perceptive thinking becomes second nature)

Thus, first of all, two steps must be taken to become critically thinking:

  1. Recognize the presence of problems in your own thinking.
  2. Regularly practice for the development of thinking.

Now let's see what strategies exist for the development of critical thinking.

Strategy one: stop wasting time on meaningless things

Time can always be found if you get rid of something that does not do any good. You probably know what it is in your case. This can be like visiting useless sites, or worrying about the past or the future. The released time can be used more productively: read books, view training videos, question common information and look for new facts.

Я решил на изучении их материалов усовершенствовать мои знания в разных языках ..Эти знания нужны умным людям . В восемьдесят лет надо сохранять свой мозг в порядке пока это возможно. Сейчас мы сделали таблицу для английского и русского текстов , а в середине бы сейчас ставим испанский текст ...а потом можно и немецкий, французский, арабский ,иврит, украинский..Спасибо Григорию!
