Welcome to Baba-Mail .Jokes: And Then the Fight Started... |
When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive.
So I took her to a gas station.
And that's when the fight started...
After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.
The woman said, "Unbutton your shirt". So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed my Social Security application.
When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office.
She said, "You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too."
And that's when the fight started...

Welcome to Baba-Mail .Joke: The Angry CEO. |
|
General Motors, feeling it was time for a shake-up, hired a new CEO. The new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers.
On a tour of the facilities, the CEO noticed a guy leaning on a wall. The room was full of
workers and he wanted to let them know that he meant business.
He walked up to the guy leaning against the wall and asked, "How much money do you
make a week?"
A little surprised, the young man looked at him and replied, "I make $400 a week. Why?"
The CEO then hands the guy $1,600 in cash and screams, "Here's four weeks' pay, now
GET OUT and don't come back!"
Feeling pretty good about himself, the CEO looked around the room and asked, "Does
anyone want to tell me what that bloody slacker did here?"
From across the room came a voice: "That was the pizza delivery guy from Domino's."

Welcome to Baba-Mail .7 Exercises to Help Alleviate Knee Pain |
|
If your knees are giving you problems when getting out of bed, you are not alone. Statistics show that nearly 50 million Americans feel the same way. In fact, knees are the most commonly injured joints in the body - which shouldn't come as much of a surprise, considering their everyday use, causing wear and tear. Simply walking up the stairs, for example, puts pressure on the knee joints equating to four times your body weight. But, it's never too late to alleviate knee pain. Just as a rusty door hinge can revert to its original glory with care and maintenance, your knees can be trouble free too. |
|
| Source |
|
The key lies in exercising muscles surrounding the knee joints - the quadriceps (front thigh muscle), the hamstrings (back thigh muscles), the abductors (outside thigh muscles) and the adductor (inside thigh muscles). Exercising the muscles around your knee will keep them strong and less susceptible to injury. Exercising often, will also help keep your joints from stiffening, providing you with needed support, making movement easier and therefore reducing pain. |
|
The following, simple exercises will both help you stretch and strengthen the knee area. |

Welcome to Baba-Mail.Stunning and Perfect Double Rainbows |
|
Rainbows, most would agree, are one of the most beautiful gifts found in nature. They are colorful, magical, and impossible to catch. They remind us of old stories between Gods and men, of magical creatures and natural wonder. The double rainbow is even more magical, and almost all cultures give positive meaning to seeing a double rainbow. Although rainbows can technically be found in a bottle of water or in a puddle, it is the double rainbows that fill the sky that take our breath away, and make people from all cultures, genders and creeds stop and take in the beauty. |

Welcome to Baba-Mail .Joke: The Important of Moaning |
|
Morris comes home to find his wife, Sadie, crying.
"I found out from the neighbors that you've been having an affair with that cheap
secretary in your office! Why would you do that to me? Haven't I always been a good
wife? I've cooked for you, raised your children, and I've always been by your side
for thirty-five years.
What haven't I done to make you happy?"
Embarrassed, Morris confesses, "It's true, Sadie, you've been the best wife a man
could hope for. You make me happy in all ways but one. You don't moan when we make
love!"
Sadie questions: "If I moaned when we had sex, you'd stop running around?! All right,
come to the bedroom so I can show you that I, too, can moan!"
So they retire to the bedroom, get undressed, and climb beneath the sheets. As they
begin to kiss, Sadie asks, "Now, Morris, should I moan now?"
"No, not yet."
Morris begins fondling Sadie. "What about now, Morris? Should I moan now?"
"No, I'll tell you when!"
He climbs on top of Sadie and begins to have intercourse.
"Is it time for me to moan, Morris?"
"Wait, I'll tell you when."
Moments later, in the heat of passion, Morris yells "Now, Sadie, moan! MOAN!"
"OY! OY!" Moans Sadie. "You wouldn't BELIEVE what a day I've had!"

Welcome to Baba-Mail .A 500-Strong Feral Horse Population Roams This Island |
|
Off the coast of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada lies a horse lover's dream - an island that’s home to about 500 feral horses that run free of gates, fences and, for the most part, people. Sable Island only ever has five permanent human residents, meaning that the horses outnumber them 100 to one. The horses are the descendants of horses that the British seized during the 18th-Century expulsion of the Acadian people (French colonists of the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island).
The horses on the crescent-shaped island, which lies some 190 miles (300 km) off the Canadian coast, live off freshwater ponds and marram (a type of grass). They are also known to dig into the island’s sand to get to the water beneath.
During the relatively short time since they were set free on Sable Island in the 1760s, they actually evolved and developed distinct genetic traits. Sadly, they nearly didn’t make it through to the present day, because the Canadian government proposed culling them in 1959, with the pretext of “saving” them from the island’s harsh and unforgiving environment. |

Welcome to Baba-Mail .9 Food Storage Tips That Will Save You Money. |
|
Grocery shopping can be a real chore, so it's nice to limit the amount of times you have to do it by buying as much produce in one go as possible. However, this means that the food you buy has to last longer, and some fresh products just aren't up to such a task! Luckily, these easy tips will help you store many common food items in a way that keeps them fresher for longer, saving you time and money!
|
|
1. Always Separate Your Bananas and Wrap the Stems in Cling Film |
![]() |
|
Bananas are prone to going brown and soft annoyingly quickly, once you have them home. However, there is a simple way you can keep them fresh for longer! They may look good when you put them in your fruit bowl as a whole bunch, but you should separate each banana and then wrap the top of the individual stems in cling film. This slows the release of of ethylene gas, which is responsible for the enzymatic browning and ripening of a banana, and any fruit around it. Bananas can last for two weeks using this technique! |
|
2. Store Your Green Leaves With Paper Towels |
![]() |
|
If you buy lettuce regularly, you will know it doesn't take long for leaves to wilt, slime over and eventually dry up. If you want to preserve their crispness, then simply line an airtight, plastic container with paper towels, and pop your lettuce leaves inside. Put another paper towel on top before you put the lid onto the container. The paper towel will absorb the excess moisture and preserve the greens inside. This technique is a much better option than the use of a plastic bag. |

Welcome to Baba-Mail .A Natural Remedy Guide to Psoriasis. |
|
Psoriasis (pronounced suh-ry-uh-sus) is a chronic skin condition, that causes extremely dry, flaky and itchy skin. It results from the fomation of extra skin cells on top of the epidermis, causing the skin to become thick and almost scaly in nature. Unfortunately, it's regarded by conventional medicine as a lifelong condition, with no permanent cure available as of yet. For a deeper understanding on what psoriasis is,this guide will prove to be very helpful. Meanwhile, in this post we take a look at what home remedies and herbs you may use to alleviate the itchiness. |
|
Using Natural Remedies with Care |
|
To get the all the benefits from the following herbs, most will require that you use their essential oils (natural extracts from the core of the plant). These oils may be applied topically, however, as these natural remedies are very potent, they should be handled with care. With this in mind, essential oils should never be rubbed directly onto your skin unless they have been diluted with a carrier oil (such as a cold pressed - coconut oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil or sunflower oil). |
|
Take a bath: Add 6 to 10 drops of the oils in a bath, diluted in 1 tablespoon milk or honey, dispersed in water. Mix the water in the bath well before entering. |
|
Apply topically: Add 12 drops of the essential oil to 1 fl.oz (30ml) carrier oil, and massage directly into the skin. |
|
DISCLAIMER: While these natural remedies will help alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis, it is always important to consult with, and get a proper diagnosis from, a medical physician. |
|

DeepEnglish.com. WALK YOUR WAY TO HEALTH AND HAPPINESS . |
Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” Philosophers and scientists from Aristotle to Einstein have known throughout history that walking in nature can boost creativity.
When we walk our heart rate increases, pumping blood and oxygen into our brains. The rhythm of our feet stimulates our minds. And because walking requires little mental energy, our thoughts are free to wander in new and creative ways.
Walking, and especially walking in nature, doesn’t just stimulate our creativity. According to recent research, it also makes us healthier and happier.[ more]
Yoshifumi Miyazaki of Chiba University studied the effects of nature on stress. He organized two groups of volunteers. Eighty-four of them walked in nature and eighty-four of them walked in a city. After just a 15-minute walk, the nature walkers demonstrated lower levels of stress. Their blood pressure fell by 2 percent, their heart rate decreased by 4 percent, and their levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, dropped by 16 percent. Miyazaki thinks that humans have evolved to be more relaxed in nature.
Stanford University Professor, Greg Bratman, is also researching the connection between walking in nature and health and happiness. He specifically focused on rumination, which is a cyclical focusing on negative thoughts. Most people have had the experience of getting into a negative funk. Whether we are worrying about the future or beating ourselves up over past mistakes, it isn’t always easy to shake negative thoughts. According to Bratman’s research, the antidote to these negative states could be simple.
Bratman sent 38 volunteers to walk in nature and another 38 volunteers to walk in a city. Before the walk, they filled out surveys about their emotional states. Bratman also scanned the volunteers’ brains to measure blood flow in the prefrontal cortex, a part of the brain associated with negative thinking. After returning from their walks, the nature-walking group reported fewer negative thoughts and their brain scans backed them up. Bratman believes that nature positively influences where we put our attention.
While most of us don’t need science to tell us that nature is healing, perhaps it can nudge us to step away from our screens and spend more time outdoors.
