"Now this is one fabulous psychedelic rock album right here. Only six songs in this album but two of those are pretty long. The opener "Pride of Man" is one of the greatest cover songs I've ever heard. "Gold and Silver" is another huge highlight here with the amazing drumming by Greg Elmore. That song is sometimes called as the first jazz-rock song ever recorded. The album closer "The Fool" is the final ultimate ending piece and sort of a climax of this record. Just unbelievable psychedelia piece in my opinion. The rest of the songs are pretty short but still very effective. "Dino's Song" was written by one of the founding members of this band Dino Valenti. He doesn't play in this album at all. He was in prison at this time due to marijuana-related offenses.

Quicksilver Messenger Service were very popular in the late 60's and especially the hippies loved them a lot. And I'm not surprised at all. This is truly a very high quality psychedelic/acid rock in here. If you enjoy the late 60's psych music even a bit then this band is definitely worth giving a try.
