Tell about the film you have recently enjoyed and why.

The film I have most recently enjoyed was Richard III of 1995 with sir Ian McKellen as the lead. I saw it at the cinema Salute as the opening part of Shakespeare Live Film Festival. In my opinion this is a beautiful film for its screening, its filming, for the script itself. It is a very bold and rebel adaptation – a fascist king in 1930th Britain. Ian is a great Richard. For his mimics, his emotions, for his understanding the role. With his presentation Richard is not just a villain or just a loser (if I can say so) – he is a brilliant mastermind. Who was alone in the end. Not because he had no friends or followers. Actually he had. He had no meaning of friends. He was alone and just for himself. And was defeated by the younger, more noble and more fitable king. But by his own way. Richmond didn’t kill Richard. Richard killed himself jumping into the fire pit. And he was smiling. It is the great movie to see, I think.
