A nice glimpse of the Railroad Creek valley above Holden Village, Washington.  This was taken on the Holden Lake trail where there are several switchbacks, this viewpoint looking south towards Copper Peak & Dumbell Mountain.

Broken Top Mountain and No Name Lake, east of Bend, Oregon November 8th 2018. The lake has just started to freeze over. I was fortunate to have this location to myself for the two hours I was up there.

Gorgeous hike up to the east side of Broken Top east of Bend, Oregon. I was up there by myself for 2 hrs. All the cascade mountains are visible to the north. The Three Sisters ( I climbed South Sister last year. Then you can see as far as Mt. Adams in Washington. You can see No Name lake to the south. It is starting to freeze over.
