UglyDolls | Official Trailer 2

Пятница, 08 Февраля 2019 г. 00:39 + в цитатник

Unconventionality rules in UGLYDOLLS, STXfilms’ new animated musical adventure starring the acting and singing voices of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Mon'ae, Blake Shelton and Pitbull. The film is inspired by the unique and beloved global plush toy phenomenon launched in 2001.

In the adorably different town of Uglyville, weird is celebrated, strange is special and beauty is embraced as more than simply meets the eye. Here, the free-spirited Moxy and her UglyDolls friends live every day in a whirlwind of bliss, letting their freak flags fly in a celebration of life and its endless possibilities, occasionally looking to the sky, where a new UglyDoll will appear and be embraced by the community.

Moxy (Kelly Clarkson) loves her square-peg life in this round-hole town, but her curiosity about all things leads her to wonder if there’s something – anything – on the other side of the mountain which nestles Uglyville. Moxy gathers a group of her closest friends and sets off to find what’s on the other side. They discover another world – Perfection – a town where more conventional dolls are trained in protocols before they graduate and are sent to the “real” world to find the love of a child.

In Perfection, Moxy and her crew are subject to the manipulations of Lou (Nick Jonas), the perfect doll in charge of training recruits. Here, the UglyDolls will confront what it means to be different, struggle with their desire to be loved, and ultimately discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing because who you truly are is what matters most.

Also starring in the voice cast of UGLYDOLLS are Wanda Sykes, Emma Roberts, Gabriel Iglesias, and Wang Leehom.

Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky ditched their shoes and socks to run errands barefoot in Australia today -- see the new photos: https://t.co/2mTFzwE56e

— JustJared.com (@JustJared) February 6, 2019

Chris Hemsworth, 35, and his wife Elsa Pataky, 42, ran a couple of errands in Byron Bay, Australia on Wednesday with no shoes. The couple fueled their vehicle and then purchased some cleaning supplies barefoot but didn’t use a public restroom from what we can see.

ONTD, do you ever go out in public barefoot?

Willem Dafoe – the rise of the Oscar-nominated actor and his best 5 movies

Willem Dafoe – the rise of the Oscar-nominated actor and his best 5 movies https://t.co/Rzf7wP7kGe

— The Sun Showbiz (@TheSunShowbiz) February 6, 2019

Let's put all this "poor Bradley" nonsense to rest. The true underrated King of this Oscar season is Willem Dafoe, who, despite his impressive body of work spanning many years, has just received his first Best Actor nomination (his fourth Academy Award nom to date).

The source mentions the following films as his best:

Spiderman

Willem played Norman Osborne, a.k.a The Green Goblin. THE definitive Spiderman villain, everyone else can go home tbh.

The Florida Project

Hands up if you think Dafoe was robbed last year. If you think otherwise, you're wrong, and I'm deeply sorry for your tragic taste.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Willem played Jopling, the henchman of Adrien Brody's character.

You can read the rest of the list in the original article.

Trailer for Bad Boys spinoff TV series "LA's Finest" starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba

Четверг, 07 Февраля 2019 г. 23:01 + в цитатник

From the universe of the Jerry Bruckheimer/Michael Bay “Bad Boys” franchise, "L.A.'s Finest" follows Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has seemingly left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom with an equally complex history, Syd is forced to confront how her unapologetic lifestyle may be masking a greater personal secret. Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules, and speed limits, Syd and Nancy become a force to be reckoned with – on the streets, and in each other’s lives.

Additional cast include: Zack Gilford and Duane Martin as Ben Walker and Ben Baines, respectively, Ryan McPartlin as Patrick McKenna, Sophie Reynolds as Isabel "Izzy" McKenna, and Ernie Hudson as Joseph Vaughn.

The first three installments in the 13-episode series will be exclusively available to Spectrum video subscribers free On Demand (and without ads) on May 13, after which new episodes will release every Monday until the finale.

Delta and Coca Cola under fire for plane crush napkins

Delta is apologizing for its napkins that encouraged passengers to write down their phone numbers and pass them along to their "plane crush"https://t.co/RTBqVQ0hqq

— BuzzFeed News (@BuzzFeedNews) February 7, 2019

As a partnership marketing campaign between Coca Cola and delta airlines, handed out napkins when drinks were served to encourage passengers to slip their phone numbers to people they found attractive on the flight.

This campaign was met with opposition since it actually encouraged unsolicited phone numbers, attracting attention from creeps and potential sexual harassment. The companies have since apologized and will be replacing the napkins with others with different designs

My Best Friend's Wedding cast reunites for EW's romantic comedy issue

Четверг, 07 Февраля 2019 г. 22:14 + в цитатник

oh hello movie that i've seen 117 times yes i will write about you https://t.co/J3vLOIWjQL #LoveEWStyle pic.twitter.com/TeY7tCuQfI

— Tim Stack (@EWTimStack) February 7, 2019

The cast of what OP considers to be the one of the best rom-com's of all time has reunited for EW's romantic comedy issue.

The entire gang was present (Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Dylan McDermott Dermot Mulroney and Rupert Everett) for the reunion. The cast talks about how much people love the film and still come up to them on the street to talk about their love of the film 22 years later.

Cameron's sister-in-law Nicole Richie is obsessed with the movie. We went to Chicago, like, a year and a half ago, and she took me to every single [location]. She’s like, “Remember when you were walking down the street right here and then…” It was so much fun. I was like, “Yes, I think I do.” She’s like, “I do, and it really means a lot to me, so I would like for you to pretend like you do.”

Cameron was terrified of the Karaoke scene. I was terrified to do that scene, for real. I allowed the true terror of singing in front of people to be alive in me. I wanted to run and hide, and Dermot kept me there. He said, “You can do it, you can do it.” In the scene I’m just staring at him the whole time because he’s looking at me like, “You’re okay. You’re not gonna die.” And I was like, “But I’m dying.”

After Wedding wrapped, it faced some harsh test screenings, which sent production back into reshoots. The film’s ending (originally Julianne found love with a wedding guest played by John Corbett) and a bathroom encounter between Julianne and Kimmy underwent major changes.

Director P.J. Hogan: Once I knew that the studio would pay [to reshoot] the last scene, I thought, “There were a couple of other scenes I think sucked — we best do a better job.” The first bathroom scene just didn’t work at all. The way it originally played was Cameron’s character just forgave Julianne almost immediately. I remember on set, Cameron kept saying, “I don’t know why I’m forgiving her, I just want to punch her. She almost ruined my life.” The focus group didn’t want Julianne to have a happy ending. They still hadn’t forgiven her. They just weren’t ready for her to end up in the arms of another guy. I thought the answer was George, because the film really worked when Rupert was on camera. Rupert and Julia’s chemistry is so great.

ROM-COM post? Feel free to discuss whatever.
