she told Variety’s Matt Donnelly : “No! Can you [forgive me]?” she said when asked about watching “House of the Dragon.” “It’s too weird. I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m over the moon about all the awards… I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange. It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘You want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I’m avoiding it.”
Emilia attended the Variety Studio presented by Audible at Sundance to promote her festival world premiere, “The Pod Generation.” she stars opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor as a couple in the not-so-distant future who try to have a baby through a detachable artificial womb. The film wrestles with topics such as abortion, which she spoke passionately about with Variety.

Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of disgraced biotech firm Theranos, bought a one-way ticket to Mexico shortly after she was convicted of fraud last January, a court filing alleges. https://t.co/0KRkzWOwhN
A court filing on Thursday found Elizabeth Holmes bought a one-way ticket to Mexico after she was found guilty on four counts of lying to investors last January.
"Only after the government raised this unauthorized flight with defense counsel was the trip canceled," prosecutors say.
The Thursday filing came as part of the government’s opposition to Holmes’ motion for release from detention pending an appeal of her sentencing. In November, a judge sentenced Holmes to more than 11 years in prison. U.S. District Court Judge Edward Davila ordered Holmes to surrender herself into custody by April 27. It has not yet been determined where she would serve her sentence, but Davila has recommended a minimum-security prison camp in Texas.
This also illustrates my earlier point about the difference in treatment between SBF and Holmes. He’s under house arrest with a bracelet monitor while she’s free as a bird post conviction and sentencing.
David was famously a member of The Byrds, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. He was inducted twice into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for membership in those groups.
He "produced" Joni Mitchell's debut album Song to a Seagull- meaning he booked her a studio and introduced her to industry people.
CSN have had a strained relationship for some time and last performed together in 2015. Sadly, they did not get to perform together again prior to David's passing.
David had been very prolific in recent years releasing several solo albums to critical acclaim.
David had a very dynamic life, but his creativity and his uniquely beautiful haunting voice never left him up until he died. A tour was planned for later this year.
My favorite David Crosby song...
Singer-songwriter-guitarist David Crosby, a founding member of two popular and enormously influential ’60s rock units, the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (later Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), has died. He was 81 years old. https://t.co/s7sNXpN4Jnpic.twitter.com/y3tdH8Gkv8
Tom Hanks was on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals and does a great lively interview with Josh.
They discuss a variety of things like the meaning of life, his love for Sweet-n-Low, generational trauma, caffeine addiction, and his kids. My fav part is when he chokes a bit before talking about Chet (32:45).
His last meal includes challah bread French toast, a double double In-and-Out burger, Greek salad and pita, A Taste of History platter, and Tom Cruise's famous Christmas cake he gifts to his friends every year.

Andy Murray called one of the Australian Open rules "a joke" during Thursday's five-hour-long match against Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Murray, 35, was denied after requesting to use the toilet a second time during Thursday's match in Melbourne. He and Kokkinakis were preparing to enter the fifth set of the match when Murray expressed his frustration. After the umpire refused Murray a bathroom break, the tennis star told her the rule was "disrespectful" to players and attendees of the tournament.
"It's so disrespectful that the tournament has us out here until three, f---ing four in the morning and we're not allowed to take a piss," Murray said. "It's disrespectful to you, it's disrespectful to the ball children, disrespectful to the players and we're not allowed to go to the toilet. It's ridiculous."
Players are allowed one bathroom break in best-of-three set matches, while they get another one for best-of-five matches, with no exceptions in place for marathon matches like Murray and Kokkinakis'.
Former tennis star, Andy Roddick, agreed with Murray and tweeted:
Kinney is taking a break from the NBC drama. He has starred as a firefighter on the procedural since its launch in 2012. Kinney is taking a leave of absence to deal with a personal matter. Cast and crew were apparently informed of Kinney’s leave earlier Friday. It is likely that future scripts will have to be rewritten to accommodate Kinney’s absence.
Lawrence V. "Larry" Ray, 62, was sentenced to 60 years in prison on Friday, nine months after being found guilty of 15 counts of, among other things, extortion, racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
Ray's sentencing marks the end of a harrowing saga that began in 2019, with the publication of a New York Magazine article chronicling the ex-con's manipulation and eventual abuse of his daughter's Sarah Lawrence College roommates.
Ray, indicted in February 2020, was accused of attempting to intimidate his mostly female victims from jail later that year.
In arguing for leniency, Ray's defense described him as remorseful, claiming he had suffered abuse during his own childhood. The presiding judge, Lewis J. Liman, labeled Ray's crimes as "sadism," expressing no doubt that he "would have destroyed more lives if given the opportunity." He is not expected to live to see release.

Hilaria Baldwin stepped out in a sweatshirt with the word "empathy" on it the day after it was revealed husband Alec Baldwin will face criminal charges.
