Emily in Paris season 3 is the most dramatic season yet

Четверг, 22 Декабря 2022 г. 00:01 + в цитатник

Does Emily stay in Paris or go home to Chicago in season 3 of 'Emily in Paris'? https://t.co/a1kv4YD6BI pic.twitter.com/wV4yKInCF3

— My Imperfect Life (@My_I_L) December 21, 2022

-In the new season Emily is struggling to pick between her two jobs but also between Alfie and Gabriel
-Gabriel has a new haircut that I'm not quite fond of but he's hot so whatever
-Alfie looks hot
-The outfits are nice
-The rest...see for yourselves

"We heard rumors of all these different endings. And I thought that it was one of them. But then we found out it was all of them, and one after the other," Lily said. "I'm like, 'We only have 35 minutes to fit this into, how are we going to do that?' So we feel very lucky to have been able to kind of do all of this the entire episode and keep it together."

Big spoilers for those that don't wanna watch but are nosy:
-Emily dates Alfie throughout the season but they break up in the finale after Camille says at her wedding to Gabriel that Gabriel is in love with Emily and they're meant to be together. Camille is also pregnant (it's Gabriel's baby) and has been seeing a girl named Sofia.

I hope you’re having a good flight, Volodymyr. I’m thrilled to have you here. Much to discuss. https://t.co/SsRdsAnSDb

Trump taxes to be released to the full House of Representatives, batch of documents leaked:

Donald Trump paid just a total of $1,500 in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017, and got a tax refund of nearly $5.5 million for 2020, a congressional report reveals. https://t.co/bFmv326reG

Here comes Trump’s taxes. The House Committee has approved they be released to the public. pic.twitter.com/RgpWnS5Ld5

— Mike Sington (@MikeSington) December 21, 2022

I've paid more in taxes since 2015 than Donald Trump has, but then, when you factor in his $5.47 million refund in 2020, probably so did you. https://t.co/asqx7aP1Qb

— John Scalzi (@scalzi) December 21, 2022

IRS's inaction on Trump taxes show a pattern.
Trump chooses:
1-MAGA IRS guy so taxes avoid audit
2-USPS guy slows the mail =fewer votes make it in time
3-Acting DOD guy=ignore the calls for Capitol police
4-EU ambassador (new post) to pressure Zelensky for Biden dirt

— Stephanie Ruhle (@SRuhle) December 21, 2022

Republicans now warning that releasing Trump’s tax returns could mean releasing Supreme Court justices’ tax returns.

Exactly. For example, Americans deserve to know who paid off Brett Kavanaugh’s $92,000 country club balance, $200,000 in credit card debt, and $1,200,000 mortgage

— Tristan Snell (@TristanSnell) December 20, 2022

The IRS audit of Trump’s 2016 income tax return was not completed by the time he left office in January 2021, the report by the Ways and Means Committee found. https://t.co/oacXmXnOU8

The January 6 Committee has just referred Donald John Trump to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution.

There is sufficient evidence that he committed multiple crimes.

H*rvey W*instein found guilty of three (out of seven) charges in Los Angeles trial

Среда, 21 Декабря 2022 г. 15:54 + в цитатник
On Monday after 41 hours of deliberation, H*rvey W*instein was found guilty of three charges (rape, sexual penetration by foreign object, and forcible oral copulation) all tied to one victim, Jane Doe 1, a model and actress who testified that he assaulted her in a Beverly Hills hotel room in February 2013.

On Tuesday, the jury met to consider aggravating factors which could make him eligible for a harsher sentence on the three guilty charges. They deliberated as to whether Jane Doe 1 was harmed and particularly vulnerable, and if W*instein committed the crimes with planning, professionalism, or sophistication. Ten jurors felt the criteria had been met but two of the jurors did not.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 9. Only Jane Doe 1 will be allowed to read a victim impact statement at that time (judges can allow other victims to read impact statements before sentencing, as seen in the Larry Nassar trial). He faces a sentence of up to 24 years for these three conviction. Legal experts predict he will be sentenced to 18 years. He has served two years of a 23 year prison sentence for his 2020 New York rape conviction.

The jury was hung on the remaining three charges: one count of sexual battery by restraint, one count of forcible oral copulation, and one count of rape. These three charges were related to two other women. The prosecutor said that they will consult with the victims before deciding whether to try him again for these three charges.

He was acquitted of one count of sexual battery by restraint against a massage therapist in a hotel room in 2010.

Two jurors spoke with the press after the trial. One said, "We felt horrible for everybody. Everybody seemed believable. It’s hard to prove all of them with time and memory.” The same juror said that the addition of uncharged witnesses became confusing for some jurors.

Another juror said he found Jane Doe 1 the most convincing. He also said that the contact the accusers had with W*instein following their alleged assaults was a key factor in deciding the verdict, particularly in the case of Jennifer Siebel Newsom.

Statements made after the trial:

Jane Doe 1:
“Harvey W*instein forever destroyed a part of me that night in 2013. I will never get that back. The criminal trial was brutal. W*instein’s lawyers put me through hell on the witness stand. But I knew I had to see this through the end, and I did… I hope Harvey W*instein never sees the outside of a prison cell during his lifetime."

Lauren Young (Jane Doe 2):
“I am relieved that Harvey W*instein has been convicted because he deserves to be punished for the crimes that he committed, and he can no longer use his power to intimidate and sexually assault more women."

Jennifer Siebel Newsom (Jane Doe 4):
"Harvey W*instein will never be able to rape another woman. He will spend the rest of his life behind bars where he belongs. Harvey W*instein is a serial predator and what he did was rape. Throughout the trial, W*instein’s lawyers used sexism, misogyny, and bullying tactics to intimidate, demean, and ridicule us survivors. This trial was a stark reminder that we as a society have work to do. To all survivors out there – I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you."

Governor Gavin Newsom:
"I am so incredibly proud of my wife and all the brave women who came forward to share their truth and uplift countless survivors who cannot. Their strength, courage and conviction is a powerful example and inspiration to all of us. We must keep fighting to ensure that survivors are supported and that their voices are heard."

Women who have accused Weinstein of rape include:

  1. Lysette Anthony told British police in October 2017 that he raped her in the late 1980s at her home in London

  2. Asia Argento told The New Yorker that in 1997, he invited her into a hotel room, "pulled her skirt up, forced her legs apart, and performed oral sex on her as she repeatedly told him to stop".

  3. Wedil David, an actress, said that in 2016, he raped her in a Beverly Hills hotel room.

  4. Paz de la Huerta said he had raped her on two separate occasions in November and December 2010.

  5. Lucia Evans said, after a business meeting in 2004, he forced her to perform oral sex on him.

  6. Hope Exiner d'Amore, a former employee, said he raped her during a business trip to New York in the late 1970s.

  7. Miriam "Mimi" Haleyi, a production crew member, said he forcibly performed oral sex on her in his New York City apartment in 2006 when she was in her twenties.

  8. Dominique Huett said he forcibly performed oral sex on her and then carried out another sexual act in front of her.

  9. Natassia Malthe said in 2008, he barged into her London hotel room at night and raped her.

  10. Jessica Mann testified in 2020 that he raped her on March 18, 2013.

  11. Rose McGowan wrote on Twitter that she told the Amazon Studios head Roy Price that he had raped her, but Price ignored this and continued collaborating with him. Price later resigned from his post following sexual harassment allegations against him.

  12. Annabella Sciorra said that, in the early 1990s, he forced himself into her apartment, shoved her onto her bed and raped her.

  13. Melissa Thompson, a tech entrepreneur, told Sky News he raped her in his hotel room following a business meeting in 2011.

F1 Goes Neutral

Среда, 21 Декабря 2022 г. 07:05 + в цитатник

#F1 drivers now need written consent to make a “political, religious and personal statement or comment” following an FIA rule change.

Scott Mitchell-Malm gives his take on a move that's not quite a ban, but which carries a clear implication:https://t.co/72GXmcX9u4

— The Race (@wearetherace) December 20, 2022

In further more money and fuck the people moves, F1 has announced a policy of political neutrality unless given express permission or face undefined penalties.

This comes after the retirement of German driver, Sebastian Vettel. In his later career Vettel became a champion for various causes, frequently backing Lewis Hamilton as he forced issues like police brutality, lgbtq+ rights and black representation in sports (so now it's Lewis against everyone).

This policy also applies to drivers like Lando Norris, who have been open about their mental health struggles.

Rumours Are Swirling That Paul Mescal Nixed Engagement With Phoebe Bridgers Over Bo Burnham

Среда, 21 Декабря 2022 г. 06:14 + в цитатник

Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham are sparking dating rumors after recent sightings amid reports that she's split from Paul Mescal https://t.co/Y5VcdBFSWM

— JustJared.com (@JustJared) December 20, 2022

Rumor has it.mp3 that Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal are no longer together and that she is now dating comedian Bo Burnham. Jezebel reported that both Bo and Phoebe were in attendance at a performance of Kate Berlant‘s one-woman-show KATE on Monday night in NYC. A staff member in attendance said he gave Phoebe “his undivided and doting attention” at the show. “It felt flirtatious. Like he was trying to impress her,” the source added.

The Deux U podcast has also reported: “There have been sightings of Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham all around Los Angeles when she was here a couple of weeks ago, A couple of people said that they saw them making out. They saw them canoodling. They saw them cuddling at the Magic Castle at a 1975 concert [and] just at a bar in LA.”

Another “source” from DeuxMoi said, “Can confirm the engagement is off between Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers. It’s not an open relationship in the slightest. Paul found out about Phoebe and Bo and called off the engagement.”

Mele Kelikimaka, Bitches! It's the 2022 Goop Holiday Gift Guide!

Среда, 21 Декабря 2022 г. 05:51 + в цитатник
Capture.PNG

As many of you are now aware thanks to the cruel and malicious Vulture nepo baby article, I am, in fact, the granddaughter of the Grinch's entertainment lawyer and the 1976 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. While my connections in the yule tide industry have afforded me incredible access and opportunity, I want each and every one of you poors and peasants to know that I work harder than all of you and would actually be MORE successful if it weren't for my famous family overshadowing my accomplishments, and also if I didn't have all of those human trafficking charges #ACAB.

But like my personal lord and savior and Frosty the Snowbitch, Gwyneth Paltrow, I won't allow the jealousy of the poverty-stricken no-names to put a damper on the season. Which is why I am so happy, or whatever approximation to that feeling I can experience on this much ketamine, to present to you, the 2022 goop holiday gift guide.

Editor's Note: There is also an under $100 version on the site that is a pathetic attempt to pander to poors and I shan't engage with such impoverished endeavors, that is not what goopmas is all about. So without further ado, here are Gwyneth Paltrow's 2022 holiday gift recommendations, as presented by me.

Tufted Boudoir Chaise - $28,500
When I told Mindy Kaling she can get fucked after she stepped on my toe at the La Croix x Oatly Ginger Lime Oatmilk Launch Party last week, I meant on this Tufted Boudoir Chaise! For just the cost of 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz you too can experience mediocre sex in style. Merry Kinkmas to all and to all a good fuck...except Armie Hammer. SOURCE

GOOPGENES Clean Nourishing Lip Balm Trio - $48
Just because Gwyneth doesn't have any lips or ass doesn't mean they don't get chapped. This nourishing lip balm will get those kissers of yours in tip top shape just in time to spend yet another New Year's Eve alone with your cats. Besos! SOURCE

Small Chubby Pav'e Hoop with Blue Topaz Heart Gemstone - $3,650
The only chubby goop accepts is in her gemstones. SOURCE

TheraFace PRO - $399
The holidays can be a lonely time for those of you who possess a certain level of physical grossness that paired with a shitty personality means no one will ever love you. So, if the holidays have you missing a terrible ex, like say, Gwyneth's ex and noted domestic abuser Brad Pitt, get this Theragun for your face and harken back to the good old days when he would get a little toasty on your private plane and punch you in the face for no reason because seriously, why the fuck would you put a theragun on your face? Is this another kink thing, goop? You okay, girl? What is this? SOURCE

Skyview Wellness Table Lamp - $999
Every Christmas as a little girl I would pray to Saint Nick that I would awaken on Christmas morning to find a $1,000 lamp shaped like a chode beneath the Christmas tree. Alas, every year I would find nothing but disappointment and a collection of the latest toys and gadgets and designer clothing. This year however, I am honoring my inner child and healing my seasonal affective disorder all at once with this truly hideous lamp. SOURCE

There are so many more incredibly mediocre gifts to be found at goop.com but I simply can't be bothered to look anymore, so make sure to head over and get all of your holiday shopping done! After all, nothing says "I'm dead inside" like the gift of goop! A happy Honda Days to you and yours and remember, the paradise of the rich is made out of the hell of the poors!

Margot Robbie talks her Fran Drescher-inspired accent for 'Babylon'

Среда, 21 Декабря 2022 г. 05:51 + в цитатник

In the latest issue of EW's #Awardist digital magazine, Margot Robbie shares how she found her #MobWives-inspired voice for #BabylonMovie, and more! https://t.co/B1V5GCQXT1 pic.twitter.com/gz2MTngM92

— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) December 20, 2022

The 'Babylon' press tour and awards campaign trucks along. Margot Robbie sat down with Entertainment Weekly's Awardist to chat about her acting philosophy, what she has in common with her characters ambition, and that accent.

- She had read the script but at that time Emma Stone had the role. Once she dropped out Margot immediately asked to meet with Damien Chazelle: "I was so obsessed with the idea of being Nellie. And I think that energy must have translated fortunately for me in a very Nellie-like manner, because I was borderline-manic in that conversation. I was just so excited and passionate and desperate to be a part of this that I probably convinced him that I was right for Nellie just with the sheer energy that I was throwing at him.

"And then I think it was a weekend that I didn't hear for a couple of days, and by that point I started absolutely spiraling. I remember calling my team 10 times a day and being like, "Have we heard? What do I do to get this role? Should I just go over to his house and convince him?" And they were like, "No, just wait."

- On why her character starts at a 10 and only escalates after: "She knows what she has and what she doesn't have, and she plays to her strengths. She's like: Yeah, I come from nothing. I'm going to show up wearing nothing, and I'm going to get your attention and I'm going to be the shocking person that you think is uncouth, but you also can't take your eyes off."

- On her ambition: "I mean, it's something that you obviously hide and you make it seem like, Oh, this all just happened and it was a happy accident, because that's nicer for people to hear. It's kind of gross to wear that sheer ambition so obviously.

But no, I've always had that hunger. I still have that hunger. I remember, especially when I was back in Australia, that feeling of: I just have to get there. How do I get a foot in the door? How do I make it to America? How do I get a plane ticket? It was just a constant scratching at, getting to the next thing.

You just have to want it so bad. You have to love it so much and want it so bad. At the end of the day, you need to want it more than everyone else."

- She tried to steer away from her Harley Quinn accent to a Fran Drescher accent: "I mean, when I say 31 accents, I'm not exaggerating. I could go through my phone voice memos and show you me impersonating Joe Pesci, me doing Snooki. I ran the whole gamut and I would send them to Damien and he would say, "Okay, actually, can you mix Drita from Mob Wives with Snooki from Jersey Shore? Give me a bit of Fran there. Okay, no, I don't like that."

- She likes to romanticize that time period: "I love movies from the '30s. I just love that time period where it was head-to-toe acting in all the shots. I'm quite a technical actor, and I love choreography and acting whole-body as opposed to just face."

- On Chazelle's pursuit of his vision: "I love someone who's not going to settle for anything less than better than they imagined. That's why I only work with directors I believe in. I will do anything they tell me. I will do anything, go anywhere, give them absolutely everything that I have."

- Brad Pitt is inspiring: "[N]othing upsets me more than working with people who don't want to be there that bad, or aren't excited to be there anymore. I'm like, Well, then, go do something else. Let someone else have a go. Brad is so not that person. We're lucky. This is so good."
