Ãàëåðåÿ ïîðòðåòíîé æèâîïèñè ðóññêîãî õóäîæíèêà âîñåìíàäöàòîãî âåêà Ãðèãîðèÿ Ñèëîâè÷à Îñòðîâñêîãî, ìàñòåðà ïðîâèíöèàëüíîãî ïîðòðåòà.
Õóäîæíèê Ãðèãîðèé Ñèëîâè÷ Îñòðîâñêèé ðîäèëñÿ â 1756 ãîäó â Âåëèêîì Óñòþãå, ïðåäïîëîæèòåëüíî â ñåìüå ìåëêîïîìåñòíîãî äâîðÿíèíà. Ïîëó÷èë èêîíîïèñíîå è ñîâðåìåííîå (äëÿ òîãî âðåìåíè) õóäîæåñòâåííîå îáðàçîâàíèå.
Î áèîãðàôèè è òâîð÷åñòâå õóäîæíèêà èçâåñòíî ÷ðåçâû÷àéíî ìàëî.  êîíöå äâàäöàòîãî âåêà â ìóçåå ãîðîäà Ñîëèãàëè÷ áûëè, ñîâåðøåííî ñëó÷àéíî, îáíàðóæåíû ïîðòðåòû, â êîëè÷åñòâå 17 øòóê, íàïèñàííûå íåèçâåñòíûì ìàñòåðîì. Íåñêîëüêî ðàáîò õóäîæíèêà ñïåöèàëèñòû çàáðàëè íà ýêñïåðòèçó, êîòîðàÿ ñäåëàëà ñëåäóþùèå âûâîäû:
Ïîðòðåòû ðàáîòû Îñòðîâñêîãî îòëè÷àþòñÿ íåîáû÷íîé äëÿ XVIII âåêà ðåàëèñòè÷íîñòüþ. Ñàìîáûòíî, ñ ÿâíûì ïðèñòðàñòèåì îòíîñèòñÿ îí ê þâåëèðíûì èçäåëèÿì â æåíñêîì òóàëåòå, à òàêæå ê ôàêòóðå áàíòîâ, êðóæåâ, ëåíò, îáîðîê íà ïëàòüÿõ, ïîçóìåíòîâ, ïóãîâèö, íàêîëîê è ïàðèêîâ. … Ôîíû â åãî ïîðòðåòàõ âñåãäà ãëóõèå, íåéòðàëüíûå, ÷àùå âñåãî ãóñòî-çåë¸íûå, „íåïðîíèöàåìûå“, íî ñ íåïðåìåííûì âûñâåòëåíèåì îäíîãî è òîãî æå ìåñòà çà ñïèíîé ôèãóðû. Òàê æå ñâîåîáðàçíî ìîäåëèðóåò îí ëèöà òåõ, êòî åìó ïîçèðóåò: îñâåùåíèå ëèö ðîâíîå, ñ ïëàâíûì ïåðåõîäîì îò ñâåòà ê òåíè.
Ê îãðîìíîìó ñîæàëåíèþ íàéäåííûå â ìóçåå Ñîëèãàëè÷à ðàáîòû Ãðèãîðèÿ Îñòðîâñêîãî íàõîäèëèñü â óæàñàþùåì ñîñòîÿíèè, ðåñòàâðàöèÿ ïîðòðåòîâ ïîòðåáîâàëà ïðîñòî ãåðîè÷åñêîé ðàáîòû, íî ÷àñòü òâîð÷åñêîãî íàñëåäèÿ îêàçàëàñü óòðà÷åííîé áåçâîçâðàòíî è âîññòàíîâëåíèþ óæå íå ïîäëåæàëà.
Ñåãîäíÿ ìû äîñòîâåðíî çíàåì, ÷òî ðàáîòàë õóäîæíèê â èìåíèè Íåðîíîâî, ðàñïèñàë íåñêîëüêî öåðêâåé â Âåëèêîì Óñòþãå. Èñêóññòâîâåäû ïûòàþòñÿ ñîáðàòü èíôîðìàöèþ î áèîãðàôèè è òâîð÷åñòâå Ãðèãîðèÿ Ñèëîâè÷à, íî ïîêà áåç îñîáîãî óñïåõà.
Æèâîïèñåö èç Íåðîíîâà áûë õóäîæíèêîì ñìåëûì, ëþáÿùèì è òîíêî ÷óâñòâóþùèì ÷óäîäåéñòâåííóþ èãðó êðàñîê. Îí ïðåäïî÷èòàåò îòêðûòûå, ÿðêèå öâåòîâûå ñî÷åòàíèÿ ïðèãëóøåííîé ëåññèðîâî÷íîé ìàíåðå. Ñðàçó ìîæåò áðîñèòüñÿ â ãëàçà íåêîòîðàÿ àïïëèêàòèâíîñòü â íàïèñàíèè äåòàëåé ïîðòðåòîâ, íî îíà ñêîðåå ðåçóëüòàò ñâîåîáðàçíîé æèâîïèñíîé ñèñòåìû, ÷åì ñâèäåòåëüñòâî óïðîùåííîñòè èñïîëíåíèÿ. Êàêîé ùåäðîé, óìåëîé ðóêîé íàïèñàíû óêðàøåíèÿ íà æåíñêèõ ïëàòüÿõ, êàê ëþáîâíî îòøëèôîâàíû äðàãîöåííûå êàìíè è ñåðåæêè, íàñêîëüêî æèâî è ìàòåðèàëüíî ïåðåäàíà ôàêòóðà òêàíåé! Íî âñå ýòè âèðòóîçíî èñïîëíåííûå äåòàëè íå ñàìîäîâëåþùè: îíè âêëþ÷åíû â åäèíîå æèâîïèñíîå öåëîå è ñëóæàò ãëàâíîé öåëè õóäîæíèêà – ñîçäàíèþ îáðàçà ÷åëîâåêà.
Ãðèãîðèé Îñòðîâñêèé ñìîòðèò íà îêðóæàþùèõ åãî ëþäåé âíèìàòåëüíûìè ãëàçàìè õóäîæíèêà, ãëàçàìè óìíûìè è çîðêèìè. Îò íåãî íå óñêîëüçàþò òîí÷àéøèå îòòåíêè õàðàêòåðîâ, æèçíü ëþäåé, êîòîðûõ îí èçîáðàæàåò, õîðîøî çíàêîìà åìó. Ïîäîáíî àâòîðó ñåìåéíîé õðîíèêè, îí ðàññêàçûâàåò íàì î ñóäüáàõ ñîâðåìåííèêîâ.

Ê ìîåìó îãðîìíîìó ñîæàëåíèþ â èíòåðíåòå íåò êà÷åñòâåííûõ (õîðîøî îöèôðîâàííûõ) ðàáîò Ãðèãîðèÿ Îñòðîâñêîãî. Äåëî â òîì, ÷òî ñîâñåì íåäàâíî ìíå äîâåëîñü óâèäåòü íà êàíàëå «Êóëüòóðà» ôèëüì î Êðàåâåä÷åñêîì ìóçåå â ãîðîäå Ñîëèãàëè÷. È â îáúåêòèâ êàìåðû ïîïàëè íåêîòîðûå èç ðàáîò õóäîæíèêà. Ê ñîæàëåíèþ òî, ÷òî ÿ ìîãó ïðåäëîæèòü âàøåìó âíèìàþ – ýòî òîëüêî ïîñðåäñòâåííûå êîïèè. Îñîáåííî «Ïîðòðåò Íàòàëüè Ñòåïàíîâíû ×åðåâèíîé». Ó ïîäëèííèêà ñîâåðøåííî æèâûå ìóäðûå ãëàçà, êîòîðûå «ñìîòðÿò» â âàøè ãëàçà (íàäåþñü, ÷òî âàì äîâîäèëîñü âèäåòü òàêèå æèâûå ïîðòðåòû è âû ïîíèìàåòå, ÷òî ÿ õî÷ó ñêàçàòü). Ïðîïèñàíî âñ¸ î÷åíü òùàòåëüíî è òîíêî. ß î÷åíü íàäåþñü, ÷òî âñêîðå ïîÿâÿòñÿ òàêèå êà÷åñòâåííûå êîïèè.

Lynwood's interest in art began early. As a youngster growing up in the Austin area, he was constantly drawing and was considered to be the "class artist". Although he didn't pursue fine art until later in life, he was inspired, no doubt, by the countryside in which he was raised. His education encompasses four years of industrial arts at Southwest Texas State University, two years at the Texas Tech University school of Architecture and two years studying Advertising Art Design at San Antonio College. While his choosen profession was graphic arts, including Bennett Graphics Design Studio in Dallas that served him well for many years, it was fine art that was his true passion
