Klaipeda is the city where I have lived for a long time.I like a lot of places here but in autumn and winter I prefer to spend my free time in Akropolis-the great supermarket.I'd like to invite you here.
With a population of nearly 200,000, Klaipeda is the most economically actine region in the country. It is an ice-free port on the Baltic Sea. The purchasing power and living standards of the population are comparable to those of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Klaipeda County, with a population about 400,000, is the only area of Lithuania which borders on the Baltic Sea. This has defined the way of life for the local population. Klaipeda County has an ice-free seaport, beautiful clean sandy beaches, popular seaside resorts and recreation complexes, the largest body of fresh water, the unique landscape of the Nemunas Delta and the Couronian Spit, forests and fertile farming land. Important industries include ship building and repair, construction materials, chemicals, furniture, cellulose, textiles, food products, tobacco, and sea transport. Futureeconomic development will be significantly influenced by the Klaipeda Free Economic Zone. Good roads and a modern motorway connect Klaipeda with Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and with other countries. The modern ferry port and Palanga Airport provide connections to other Baltic Sea countries. Klaipeda County is developing into one of the main areas for industry, farming, forestry, holidaymaking and tourism. A long-term development plan of the city of Klaipeda, with short, medium and long term objectives has been prepared. The plan is based on a prediction that the growth of the population as well as numbers of visitors and tourists arriving in the city will exceed those of other cities in Lithuania, such as Kaunas, Siauliai, Panevezys. Sufficient territory is reserved for further development of the city. Infrastructure development is under way. Plans are ready for future urban development sites. Longterm objectives are in planning stages for future seaport development and expansion, for geothermic and wind energy use, for shelf oil extraction, aquaculture and pisciculture activities, improvement of communication with Smiltyne on the Curonian Spit, etc. Resources are reserved to provide housing for new regional residents needed to meet the requirements of a growing labour market that is constantly providing new job opportunities.

It is situated on a 14 ha land plot - Taikos av. 61, Klaipeda, within a 5 min. drive from the city centre at the juncture of the city centre and Klaipeda's residential areas representing the major part of its population.
AKROPOLIS stores
Many tenants in AKROPOLIS occupy more space than usual. AKROPOLIS marketing
The most important moment in a shopping centre's life is the Grand Opening. We know that we must exceed the customer's expectations. The Grand Opening of Vilnius AKROPOLIS made an excellent start for its future success.
Things went right from the very beginning due to strong marketing, advertising, publicity and PR to become the consumers' top choice. The same success was repeated in Klaipeda.
AKROPOLIS EXPOSURE
AKROPOLIS events
Every month and every week, special promotional events bring customers to the centre. Different entertainment shows, discount actions for cinema tickets, for skating rink visitors, and special offers in our food-courts - every shopper finds something very special for himself each day.
AKROPOLIS coverage
AKROPOLIS is constantly on TV, radio broadcasts and press pages. We also have our own outdoor/indoor advertising sites, internal radio and TV to announce special events and tenant activities.
AKROPOLIS signale
Two huge AKROPOLIS signs at the main entrance are prominent on sign towers at the busy intersection of the nearby major traffic arteries. Large signs of our anchor tenants on the shopping centre wall facing the parking lot also attract the attention of visitors.
AKROPOLIS public relations
PR activities and a wide range of consumer media constantly present different topics and themes to ensure a steady flow of information about the centre. A continuous publicity campaign makes sure that Lithuanians know and are excited about AKROPOLIS.
All of Lithuania is here

The stores of AKROPOLIS have large shop fronts so that every tenant is able to create his own image and display his merchandise effectively and attractively.
AKROPOLIS maintenance
Keeping AKROPOLIS and the parking area clean and tidy is one of our most important maintenance tasks. We know that our customers demand a clean centre regardless of when they visit. This seems obvious, but appears to be hard to achieve for many shopping centres. We make sure that our management team and staff guarantee customer satisfaction.
