Before the Capitals embark on their first trip to Winnipeg later Wednesday afternoon, theyre on the ice at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for practice.

All players who made the trip are present and accounted for and the lines are the same as they were at the start of Tuesdays game and eventual loss to the Predators.

Meanwhile, back at the KCI ranch in Arlington, Mike Green, who has missed the last two games with a strained right groin muscle, has not skated since the Capitals left for the road trip. As of Wednesday afternoon, there are no plans for the defenseman to join the team on the road, according to a team spokesman.

Here are the lines and defensive pairings:

Forwards
Brouwer-Backstrom-Ovechkin
Chimera-Laich-Semin
Eakin-Johansson-Ward
Hendricks-Halpern/Perreault-Knuble

Defense
Hamrlik-Alzner
Erskine-Wideman
Schultz-Carlson

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without Mikhail Grabovski for two weeks, and fellow forward Clarke MacArthur will also miss time because of injuries sustained in a loss to Phoenix.

The team said Wednesday that Grabovski has an undisclosed lower body injury. He left Tuesday night's shootout loss in the third period after a collision at center ice.

MacArthur, ruled out of Thursday night's game at Nashville, didn't play after the second period because of an undisclosed upper body injury.

The Maple Leafs did get some good news, however, on Wednesday. Toronto coach Ron Wilson said that Tim Connolly is expected to play Thursday against the Predators. He has been out with an upper body injury.

The Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils are believed to have engaged in recent trade discussions, prompting each team to dispatch its scouting staff to watch the other club.
It has been widely reported that the Devils have an interest in Kings goalie Jonathan Bernier, however sources close to the Kings told TFP the team is not interested in moving him, at this point, barring a substantial offer.

Devils GM Lou Lamoriello is in the market for some scoring help up front, primarily at the center position as Travis Zajac continues to mend, though such assistance isn't expected to come from the Kings, unless New Jersey is interested in Dustin Penner, who was recently placed on the IR.
Penner, 29, is in the final year of his contract and has been shopped, though a deal to the Devils is unlikely.

The Kings appear willing to entertain offers for some of their top-tier players, as reports have linked captain Dustin Brown and defenseman Jack Johnson as possible trade candidates.

It's uncertain if any deal between the two teams is imminent, despite the recent trade talk.
