I have replaced my original blog post that was here with this full tutorial as I was answering over 20 questions a day on how I put it together!

• Find some playing cards! These fabulous cards from Ellusionist shown here are great as they have a pre-aged Vintage look.
• Scuff them up with some sandpaper to give them a used feel as well as a used look
• Create a template with one of the spare cards
• Punch two holes in each cards using the template as a guide
• 
• Create your reasons labels to attach to the cards(detailed information below)
• Using double sided tape and/or glue - attach the inserts to the cards (using glue will take longer to dry and will stiffen the cards up adding more dimension)
• Create all 52 of your reasons cards and let the glue dry
• Thread onto book rings

Creating the Reasons Labels
Most of the questions I have received relate to creating the reasons to glue onto the cards.

I created mine in PowerPoint (but you could use any graphics program)using the Cosmo Cricket Snorkel Paper Digital Collection for the backgrounds and Trinigan FG font for the text which I downloaded free from fontspace.com

In PowerPoint I inserted one of the jpegs from the downloaded digital paper collection and then cropped it to 6x4cm. I repeated this for the inside rectangle which is 5.3x3.3cm using the cream digital paper, changed the shape of the image to a rounded rectangle and then just typed a text box on top.

You could use any image to do this - no need to buy files like I did. Powerpoint has several built in or you could just use plain colors which would be the easiest option.
Copy and paste for additional cards and a cover card - you should get 18 per page. Here is what mine looked like after printing out and before cutting - I printed them onto Canon Glossy Photo Paper.

Another option would just be to cut 6x4cm cards from any paper or cardstock and then hand-write the reasons on those.
