The following knitting patterns and illustrations have passed into the public domain and are no longer under copyright. Patterns are designed to fit an 11 ½ inch girl fashion doll
Jacket with Hood
MATERIAL
1 ball Mohair or 1 oz. Knitting Worsted
1 pair knitting needles No. 6
5 buttons
GAUGE: 4 sts. = 1 inch
BACK:
Cast on 16 sts. with No. 6 needles and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 3 rows.
Change to stock. st. and work even for 14 rows.
Shape raglan armhole: 1st row: slip 1, K 1, p.s.s.o., K to within 3 sts., K2tog., K 1. 2nd row: P back.
Repeat these 2 rows 5 times, rem. 6 sts. slip on a holder.
FRONT:
Cast on 10 sts. with No. 6 needles and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 3 rows.
Change to stock. st. and work even for 14 rows.
Shape raglan armhole as on back 5 times. Rem. 5 sts. slip to a holder.
Work the other Front to correspond, reversing all shapings.
SLEEVE
Cast on 10 sts. with No. 6 needles and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 3 rows. Incr. 1 st. at beg. and end of last row of ribbing.
Change to stock. st. and work even for 12 rows.
Shape raglan armhole as on back 5 times. Rem. 2 sts. slip on a holder.
Work the other sleeve to correspond.
HOOD:
Slip 5 sts, of first front, 2 sts. of first sleeve, 6 sts. of back, 2 sts. of 2nd sleeve, 5 sts. of 2nd front all to one needle and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 3 rows.
Change to stock. st. and work even for 14 rows. Bind off.
FINISHING:
Sew up side and sleeve seams. Sew sleeves to front and back of jacket. Sew up top seam of hood. Sew buttons in place and pull a chain through ribbing at neckline. Block to size.
