James Noble |
James Noble painted predominantly still lifes and flowers, inspired by Dutch 17th Century painters. Whilst working in the family business of building and decorating, he studied art at evening classes in London under Iain MacNab. During the Second World War, Noble was an assault engineer in the Infantry, but continued to draw.His first solo exhibition was at the Bond Street Gallery, London in 1957.
