Футболисты сборной Голландии, фото от Эрвина ОлафаИзвестный голландский фотограф Эрфин Олаф (Erwin Olaf) представил для журнала AD Magazine фотосерию Dutch National Soccer Team «New Warriors» с игроками голландской футбольной сборной в предверии Чемпионата Европы по футболу, который пройдет в июне в Австрии и Швейцарии. Портреты футболистов были созданы в стиле персонажей фильма «300 спартанцев»

He was born in Bernau in the Black Forest, Germany. Having started life as a painter of clock-faces, he entered in 1859 the Karlsruhe academy, where he studied under Schirmer and Des Coudres. He subsequently studied and worked, with but indifferent success, in Düsseldorf, Paris, Italy, Munich and Frankfurt, until his reputation became firmly established as the result of an exhibition of some thirty of his paintings in Munich. In spite of his studies under various masters, his art has little in common with modern ideas, and is formed partly by his early impressions of the simple idyllic life of his native district, partly by his sympathy with the early German masters, particularly with Altdorfer and Cranach. In his love of the details of nature, in his precise (though by no means faultless) drawing of outline, and in his predilection for local coloring, he has distinct affinities with the Pre-Raphaelites.Many of his pictures have found their way into two private collections in Liverpool. A portrait of the artist, and two subject pictures, "The Guardian of the Valley" and "Spring Idyll," are at the Dresden Gallery; "Eve in Paradise " and "The Open Valley" at the Frankfurt Museum. Other important pictures of his are "Paradise", "Christ and Nicodemus", "The Flight into Egypt", "Charon", " Pieta", " Adam and Eve", "Solitude", "Tritons", besides many landscapes and portraits. He has also produced numerous lithographs and pen drawings, and some decorative mural paintings, notably in a cafe at Frankfurt, and in the music room of Mr Pringsheimer's house in Munich.Hans Thoma died in Karlsruhe in 1924 at the age of 85.

A former Professor of Fine Art at the Moscow College of Fine Art and currently visiting Professor he remains a truly Russian painter, with a school of realist paintings as his basis. Admiring the masterpieces of ancient architecture wherever he has been he conveys that special flavor characteristic of each place- be it the walls of the ancient towns of the ‘Golden Ring” of Russia, to the brightly painted facades of Australian cities, the urban landscape of the USA or the gingerbread festiveness of Amsterdam.

Доротеа ТаннингДоротеа Таннинг (Dorothea Tanning) - одна из последних живых участников движения сюрреалистов. Таннинг родилась в городке Гейлсбург в штате Иллинойс 25 августа 1910 года в Америке. Обучалась в колледже Кнокс, затем недолго в Академии искусств в Чикаго.
Темой ее ранних полотен в основном являлись сексуальные страхи и фантазии молодых женщин. Ее сюрреалистическим работам на протяжении долгой творческой деятельности всегда были свойственны колоритность, характерный почерк и мощь.

Валерий Миронов родился 16 марта 1965 года в Подмосковье. Уже в школе мальчик рисовал карикатуры на манер Бидструпа. Перед армией Валерий освоил разные профессии, такие, как плотник, каменщик, мясник. После службы в армии, по зову сердца поехал строить ГЭС на Колыму, где работал в качестве скалолаза, заготовителя сена, художника-оформителя. «Там я познал чувство безмерности мира, могущества природы, слабость и неприспособленность человека по сравнению со зверьем», - впоминает художник.
В 1985 году Валерий поступил в Заочный Университет Искусств на декоративно-оформительское отделение.
Вернувшись в Москву, Валерий Миронов посещал воскресную церковную школу, где стал псаломщиком в храме и получил рекомендацию для поступления в Семинарию. Но, посчитав себя пока недостойным идти по духовной стезе, Валерий вновь остался со своими мыслями и в поисках пути. Он заинтересовался изучением готики, геральдики, древнерусским народным лубком, иконописью. Тогда же он начинает много писать. Первая крупная выставка Валерия состоялась по приглашению муниципалитета города Лозанны (Швейцария) в 1992 году. Далее были выставки в Италии, Нидерландах, Германии, Франции. Валерий Миронов является участников выставок в ЦДХ, Арт-Манеж (Москва), Арт-Экспо (Нью-йорк). Работы художника приобретены частными коллекционерами в России и в других странах мира.

Boris Indrikov was born in Leningrad in 1967 and lives and works in Moscow. From 1991 - 1997 he was a book designer and worked as an illustrator for the popular science magazine "Chemistry and Life".
He has been a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the UNESCO International Federation of Artists since 1998.
Has exhibited works at a number of shows in Russia and abroad (Art-Manezh 2002, 2003, Drommar (Sweden, Nykoping 2004) and others).
He currently works in painting, graphic design and small-form plastic. He works mainly in fantastic realism.
His pictures are in the HORIZON gallery (Netherlands), and private collections in Russia, Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan and the United States.

Родился в 1952 г. в г. Калининград (ныне Королев) Московской области. В 1976 г. окончил Московское высшее художественное училище ( б. Строгановское) по специальности реставратор. Любимый стиль живописи – "обманка" ( a trompe-l'oel) - старинный голландский стиль.
С 1997 г . он является членом международной федерации художников Профессионально – творческого союза художников России.

Jean-Pierre Bedarrides was born in Aix-en-Provence on 15 March 1954.
From his youngest age he was attracted by drawing an colour, and started a carreer as a technical and advertising draughtsman.
He was first attracted by landscapes and by water-colour painting, his first exhibition took place in Aix-en-Provence in 1985.
In 1986, a publisher asked him to illustrate a work about Aix-en-Provence in water-colours.
Then, highly interested in chiaroscuro and still-life painting, he turned to oil painting. As always concerned with details and the good quality of his work, he makes his supports himself (canvas fixed on wood panels with skinglue and palster) and paints with thinned amber. This technique had been used by the Flemish painters since the 13th.C.
After several journeys in Marocco, elated by the beauty of landscapes and light, he realize 2 exhibition in Aix-en-Provence, on this theme where were grouped still-life painting and landscapes

Сегодня я наконец-то посмотрела фильм, посвященный Модильяни. В главной роли Энди Гарсия. Фильм впечатлил. Впечатлила личность художника и его судьба. Фильм о вражде двух гениев - Модильяни и Пикассо. Фильм о любви и об искусстве. Фильм о его жизни. Кому интересна эта история, кому интересны такие фильмы - рекомендую.
