"This creature continues to perplex me. Just when I think I've figured out all of its quirks, it finds new ways to surprise me. Its latest anomaly involves its eyes. Interestingly, I never truly paid much attention to the fact that it keeps its eyes closed at all times. With it constantly changing forms, my focus was always on the regular increasing and decreasing number of limbs, colors, sizes, and shapes. However, today it was impossible to ignore this fact, as when its eyes did open, I felt as though I was exploring the stars in a distant solar system. The feeling was almost indescribable, as if I were actually there. Curiosity, joy, fear of the unknown, and yet.....also a feeling of being home. A strong sense of belonging and family. I do not understand this. My attempts to get the creature to open its eyes again have bore no fruits. I have to admit, much to my own confusion and partial shame, I wish more to see them again not for science and research, but to experience that unnerving, yet calming feeling. Why has this creature come to me? Does the answer lie in the moons? Perhaps the rings? I may need to ask my colleagues for assistance.
What fascinates me about this recent encounter is the reason for the creature opening its eyes. Although, at this stage, I probably shouldn't assume that I know the true answer. I do however, truly believe that the creature's eyes were opened as a form of "sincere apology." Controlling this creature is nigh impossible, I dare say even the gods themselves would not be able to contain its tenaciously stubborn attitude. Normally it causes only minor inconveniences and damage, mostly not on purpose, as it seems to not be able to control how often it changes form. However, in this instance, it appeared to be curious about a very near and dear replica I had created of our wonderful solar system. Unfortunately, it played a little too roughly with the planets, and somehow the entire replica was destroyed. In my anger and sadness, I verbally chastised the creature, admittedly, perhaps a bit too harshly, as this replica had taken me several years to complete. It actually seemed to respond to my disappointment and anguish quite apologetically. It stared up at me, listening intently as I described my painstaking efforts in mapping the positions of all of the planets and moons, and finally putting it all together in a mathematically accurate form. And as if to apologize, it opened its eyes to view the damage it had done, before looking back up at me. It was in that moment that all of my negative feelings dissipated, and I was overcome with softer emotions.
I decided to take a break afterward to gather my thoughts. Our interactions have returned to normal, quite promptly, however I did notice that the creature seems to be more careful around my equipment now. I will continue to study this creature. I must understand it. I must know why. How."
