here's a little tutorial on how i make my expansions believable! i like to think of my works as on the border between the weight gain and misc expansion communities, and so i borrow a lot of aspects of wg art when i make transformations. the main point i want to get at is that when expanding a body with something other than air or pregnancy, the shapes will rarely be completely round and spherical. i see perfect circles a lot, especially in blueberry art, and it makes the image a lot less believable in my mind. even with violet beauregarde, where she turns into a complete sphere by the end, still has small curves, dimples, and squishes that give her weight. my favorite way to go about this is hip dips, because that's just how squishy hips behave (technically it's because of the way fat deposits develop, because you have a tendon attachment in the center side of your hip). understanding anatomy is definitely important, but its the shapes you use that make things sexy in my mind.

you can apply this idea to every area of the body that expands. when growing the arms, for example, they don't just act as one big water balloon: skin stretches in a certain pattern, so while some sections of growth will develop, there are also areas of merging. in the image, there is a small ring around the elbow, and the arm merges at the shoulder, essentially. this is because fat accumulates more in the upper arm than lower arm, and it forms a nice donut shape.

A mass produced perimeter outpost station. Produced in great number, these were designed as a fleet logistics hubs. A typical installation had all the infrastructure required to support a fleet action, as well as the two multispectral optical emitter arrays to guide the ship's FTL navigation stabilize the jump points. They were usually placed in the high orbit around a gas giant, so that the automated fuel collector could supply with the onboard fuel production facilities with material. The stations would have crew complement of two thousand, working in long shifts as being mostly self sufficient, these outpost would rarely get visitors - a half a year could pass before an explorer or a resupply convoy would show up.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm late for Halloween ( К ) Anyway... Back in 2016, I painted Durnehviir. That was my first acrylic painting! At first I was proud of it. But over time, it began to seem quite messy and incomplete to me. It was also smaller than the new one. So I repeatedly felt the urge to redo it. And now this moment has finally come.

Also, Durnehviir reminds me of Duma from Fire Emblem 8D Really, both dragons have green decayed bodies, curved horns... Even their names start with Du!

I'll post the step-by-step of this a bit later. Gotta put the pieces together x_x
