I'm almost finished with coloring my next 2-page spread so I wanted to share what the organisms showcased in it look like colored as well as give some additional information about each of them.

Sporecatcher (top right): The Sporecatcher's net is composed of tendon-like structures with sticky membranes in-between for catching nutrient rich spores which it then absorbs to be broken down and transported to one of the six mouthes that suspend the net. Darker sections of the net's membrane are sensitive to subtle changes in light thus act as a very primitive form of eye. Such a structure would normally be at risk of damage by any flying organism unfortunate enough to get caught in it. Fortunately for the Sporecatcher, flying organisms never evolved on its world given the incredibly slow movements of its lifeforms as a result of its extremely cold environment. Instead of regular bones, the Sporecatcher has a flexible internal structure akin to cartilage but stronger and has a prong on either side of its body for balance and reproduction.

Silicoral (top left): Despite their name and resembling trees, the Silicoral are more similar to fungi in that they feed on molecular compounds in the mud via root-like hyphae and the structures above ground are the fruiting bodies that release spores. Being suspended high up allows the Silicoral spores to spread out further so not to compete with each other.

Hydrolily (bottom left): Similar to Silicoral in being similar to fungi, Hydrolilies produces fruiting bodies in bundles that are lower to the ground. Though their spores don't travel as far as a result, Hydrolilies are a little risk of competing with each other as they require less space.

Shuffler (bottom middle): These arthropod-like organisms move through the mud filtering out spores that landed. They uses pheromones to attract others of their kind and linkup using porous adhesives on the front and back. When linked up, Shufflers less prone to predation due to being larger and the combined release of noxious gases they produce as a waste product. They can also exchange nutrients and genetic information in this state.

Starmold (bottom right): Resembling a mix between a starfish, slime mold, and an amoeba, Starmolds are amorphous predators that hunt anything they can catch up to, primarily single Shufflers. Once they've caught something, they use a combination of constriction and digestive enzymes to break into their prey. Lacking an internal skeleton, Starmolds can change their shape to fulfill various needs such as climbing, swimming, or burrowing.

After talking with PocketRyan on Twitter, I started experimenting with porting models from that one program into .PMX format so the characters could be used in things like Blender and Sizebox. Id also like to give a shout out to KhoTheMacroQueen for helping me figure out some of that conversion stuff so thanks for that. Anyways, the model of Sumeragi here is a fair bit less vibrant than normal but there really isn't anything I can do about that since it's the conversion itself that causes that& shes also got a LOT of bones and some other odd issues but shes workable. A permanent WIP. Started work on this all the way back in 2016 (gee whiz!) essentially as a dsitillation of all the conspiracies back then - I guess you could call it 2016 punk, but really its circa-2016-far-right-loony punk. Should go without saying I do not endorse anything in this map. I could never work up the energy to do a key or writeup, so since the era that spawned it is at an end I figured I should post it for your viewing pleasure.

Highlights include:
-Canada under the Right Honourable Jordan Peterson, who breaks down crying during most of his speeches.
-Left-Coast under rule by Silicon Valley philosopher-kings from their capital in the Bohemian Grove. Currently clearing conservative territory for "nature reserves" - don't ask about the fertiliser.
-A rump America where its common knowledge that both parties are run by Satanic Pedophiles. Most people just shrug their shoulders and get on with it.
-During the Second Civil War, rogue Masons broke of New England and the Maritimes as the independent State of Providence. Beyond North Korean levels of oppression. The Eye Sees All.
-Free Republic of Texas, last bastion of those Good Ol' American values. Pretty nice place to live assuming you're not black, in which case its Jim Crow in all but name, excluding a few token tycoons and politicians.
-Union of Soviet Bolivarian Republics. This Was The One Thing We Didn't Want To Happen.
-Commonwealth of Oceania. Brexit happened, and things went about as bad as they could. Roughly on par with OTL North Korea, seized Iceland and Greenland during WW3. All life is governed by an inscrutable system of liscences, and everything is under the watch of Big Brother Farage.
-Illuminati/4th Reich EU.
-EU puppet state in West Africa, the African Union, ruled by the Alien worshipping Dogon.
-Most of inland Africa has been depopulated by constant testing of superweapons and a million different proxy wars.
-ISIS controls much of Arabia and the Levant. Less of a Rightly Guided Caliphate, more of a Mad-Maxocracy with Islamic characteristics.

Bio:

A often terrifying and sometimes silly threat, Yamaku never really had much of a childhood. He was adopted from an orphanage and briefly raised by his adoptive family. Something always seemed off about the child, he often couldnt tell what was right or wrong, or at least didnt seem to care so long as he was having fun. He was even friends with Jacqueline, though after his quirk developed and he began to do more and more dangerous things that risked injuring those around him with seemingly no care for their well being just because his quirk allowed him too, he was taken away and put into foster care. Which did no favors for his psyche, as he was already pretty clingy and had his own somewhat possessive view of friendship.

Being taken away from his best friend only made him angry and violent, getting so unruly to the point of having to be put into a juvenile correction facility, This, again, only seemed to make him more and more unwilling to change his ways and made him even worse. The doctors that tried to help him even speculating that his quirk had worsened his already rather warped sense of reality to the point of potentially being irreversible, as his own views of fun had already caused some pretty bad injuries and even some deaths to which he only seemed to show a manic glee and only slight remorse, that remorse being that his play mate...or toy as he sometimes labeled them...was broken beyond repair. The other deaths, to which he showed no remorse for, was where he used the heads of three others as juggling balls to try and entertain others.

Needless to say, no matter where he was put he frightened everyone with his demented personality that magnified his cartoonish over the top expressions that his quirk allowed him to do. Now, at age nineteen, he has escaped jouvy, letting it burn as he laughed, and seeks out his old play mate to have fun with someone whos quirk was somewhat similar to his own. Or, failing that, just spreading his fun across everywhere he goes and reveling in the chaos and delight.

Appearance:

Yamaku is a thin, lanky, boy with quite slender proportions who stands at five foot five and a half. His skin tone, dye to his quirk, makes him look like he stepped right out of a cartoon. He has a rubbery, if not elastic, type quality to how he looks. His green hair is kept relatively neat with long-ish hair bangs all around his head save for the back of his head. Like the rest of his body, his purple eyes and mouth can stretch and grow in size thanks to his quirk. As for his clothing he is normally seen wearing a wide variety of outfits, all of which have a look to them like they also stepped out of a cartoon. His most common outfit though, is a long sleeved top highly resembling, if not out right being, a restraint shirt from an insane asylum with long baggy pants and tattered fingerless gloves. He has also been known to wear a top hat with it, Other outfits of note are a clown or jester get up sans paint, a button up shirt and vest with jacket and matching pants somewhat resembling a circus ringleader but not entirely, a three piece suit reminiscent of a 1920s gangster, and various casual clothes. The last thing of note is that his chin and jaw seems to change from being fairly normal looking, to being somewhat angular, likely based on his own preference at the time.

Description:

Rubber Hose is a mutation based quirk where the user has a body that is much like that of the old animation style where characters had bouncy stretchy bodies that allowed them to do whatever they pleased. This quirk also allows the user to pull out a variety of objects out of their body, pockets, or seemingly from nowhere as well as allowing them to turn parts of, if not their entire body into various shapes and objects. Though seemingly a powerful quirk, it should be well noted that it can be turned against its user with clever thinking and does not prevent the user from experiencing pain.
