MERRY XMAS onisuu surpriiiise! Im your little secret sailor!

I'm so sorry that I'm a bit late- I had to work xmas eve and xmas day and I've been bedridden all day with a cold ugh! I hope you can excuse my lateness orz

I know all you asked for was a simple chibi- but I believe that gift giving is about going all out- so I hope this gave you a pleasant surprise!

I'd just like to thank Maemi-tan and stardustsparkles25 for hanging with me for HOURS on end while I worked on this. lol! I even made Maemi-tan go check oni's dream world so i could get a layout of her town! ahahah! Im missing the flowers and the flag. But I couldn't bring my self to draw the flag because it had oni's face carefully pixeled on it! ahahah! it was too funny! I really tried replicating the whole animal crossing feel- look at my poor tree and grass omg! (Two more things i must work on!)

Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful xmas, Oni!

This illustration is the result of one of the christmas cards I created for the giveaway winners. This illustration was made from the theme suggestion of Jarrizard. He suggested something dark and spooky. Unfortunately, it did not turn out as spooky as I had planned originally, however, I intended the girl to have dark and destructive supernatural powers which she cannot handle that well (therefore the nosebleed).

Backstory: Blossom is a pony who who runs a popular perfume and cosmetics shop. When she's not touring Equestria for rare scents and fragrances for her perfumes, she enjoys giving ponies who visit her shop a makeover and is always there to give a pony a boost in confidence. Blossom has the ability to spot the beauty in each and every pony and sees it as her mission to bring out everypony's best side.

Wow! I can't believe I managed to finish her before the New Year especially since I plush on an extremely tight schedule (I'm lucky to get 1-2 hours of sewing per night after both kids are in bed). I started plushing her about a month ago (it honestly feels a lot longer than that ^^").

This is my OC Blossom Breeze in plush form Her original design, backstory and concept art are by as part of my "Design-An-OC-For-Me" contest.

There are 2 shades of coral in her hair! I'm having a lot of trouble capturing it properly on camera... it's subtle, but definitely there!!!! You can appreciate it best in the rightmost photo ^^".

Blossom was heaps fun to make! She inspired me to experiment with numerous new techniques:

1) Revised ears to make them more 3D - covered in more detail here:



2) Minky dyeing! I dyed minky for the first time And it was a lot of fun! I captured a video of my experience:

3) Minky flowers! I'm so happy I've figured out a way to make multiple tiny flowers out of minky without ending up in exhaustion (and eventual insanity!). I really wanted to use minky instead of other materials such as felt or fleece, because minky creates that beautiful fluffy feel & soft look.



I've chosen to plush Blossom's luscious pink locks to look flowy and light - as if they're floating in the breeze (her name is Blossom Breeze after all and her specialty is scents and fragrances).

I spent an entire week airbrushing her ^^" - honestly, gradients are a lot harder than they look (especially if you're working with minky! all those furs blowing in different directions >w< ). I also airbrushed her horn & blush

Also, I've filmed the entire process of assemblying/handsewing her hair (it took ages x3) so I'll be releasing a time-lapse video soon-ish? This video will be available to everyone (ie: not exclusive to my patrons). There will be a patron-only video tutorial coming soon too!

Specifics:
*Materials: cuddle 3 minky by Shannon Fabrics, minky baby fabric
*Minky colours: coral, darker coral shade dyed by me, lemon, white
*Stuffing: premium polyester fiberfill, craft foam, poly pellets in hooves, quilt batting, stretch satin
*Thread: gutermann polyester sew-all thread, gutermann rayon embroidery thread
*Eyes/Cutie marks: machine embroidered
*Size: Approx 16" tall, 19" long
*She has my signature embroidered into the bottom of her front left hoof
*Extra features: airbrushing on legs/blush, Swarovski crystals in eyes, magnets in collar (fully removable)

For my next project, I was planning on plushing another OC of mine - Vanilla Pearl. She's a newly acquired OC I adopted not too long ago... but I think I should maybe focus on opening a commission slot for those who have been waiting to get a pony from me????? I'm probably only going to open one slot though - it can get really stressful with multiple commissions.

Silo was a barn owl at Horizon Wings who we sadly lost this year. She lived much longer than wild barn owls usually do, reaching 19 years old! She helped us with programs and had a happy life in a spacious aviary with her own heat lamp to keep her warm in the winter months.
