When the cubs were young, they got lost in a rain storm with their mother, Kiara. They were wandering out in the Pridelands all night, soaked to the bone. Basically this was just another excuse to draw a rainy scene, I just love rain scenes ^^

This is the drawing steps of my artwork below

Steps:
1. Sketch. Sketch the pose and composition. I also give a rough grayscale shade to check if it looks...believable (?).
2. Lineart. Just do the tedious lining.
3. Base Color. Fill in base colors, each color was in separated layers.
4. Shading & Lighting. When shading this, I use a rather medium to dark value color for shading so the lighting can pop out later. I use normal layer for shading & various other layers for lighting.
5. Effects & Lineart Coloring. Add the effects that I already planned on the sketch. I also do lineart coloring here.
6. Finishing. I feel like I need some background so I draw a space-theme background...you know like they're on a sun-like star and there's a planet near it. I add more glow here on the metals and any shiny objects. Usually I just keep adding things until it satisfies me. The last thing is adjusting the color using color balance, tone curve, and level adjustment.

*throughout the steps, I often fix some mistake + adjust the hue, saturation, and luminosity.

My biggest illustration ever!! As you know, I'm a huge fan of the classic MOTU figures, specially the vintage box art and the mini comics. So this was like a dream assignment for me. The chance to paint a battle with several of classics MOTU characters... an ultra-fun piece to paint (and hopefuly not the last one)

Thank you everyone for the amazing first year since I started dA!
I have so much to say and so many people to thank but I have
no words to explain how lucky and grateful I am for everything
what has been happening!

I was able to save up enough money to see my boyfriend in the
otherside of the world. I was able to live with him here in the
Philippines by purely my income from dA. And I have finally
reached the limit to get my plane ticket back to Finland and start
mine and my boyfriends lives together there.

I know next year will be more chill and I will have time to do
more fun projects and interact even more with you guys!


I want to have a small shout out for some of the most important

I have grown a strong friendship! I'm sowwy if I can't remember
