Tradition says that whoever, in Miranda do Douro, manages to identify the number 2 on the border cliff, in the cliffs of the Douro, already in Spanish territory, will have no difficulty in finding a pair, will soon marry and in the region. It is common to find groups of people who insistently search for 2 on the rocks in question. Either because they feel like the oral tradition is realized, or simply by challenge and pure play. The number two is very well marked on the said rocks, resulting from yellow lichens that trace its contour very perfectly

The S~ao Jo~ao das Arribas viewpoint is located in the heart of the Douro Internacional Natural Park, in the “cliffs” of the international Douro, next to the Aldeia Nova fort, which is a fortified settlement from the Iron Age. This Castro must also have been used during Roman times as a crossing point, as several Roman tombstones were discovered in the chapel of S. Jo~ao, which is 1500 meters from the castro, has been classified as a National Monument since 1910.

The Penhas de Torres Viewpoint, located near the village of Paradela, is a very attractive place, located in the northeast corner of the territory, in the most eastern point of Portugal, with the privilege of being here where the first rays of sunlight can be seen. From here, we can see the Douro river entering Portugal, starting its journey as an international river. Main living room. The fire place still works and is not plugged. Until just a few years ago, hunters use to use the cabin as a base camp, but since the room and ceiling are collapsing it is not used anymore.

P'ateo de S. Miguel is an architectural ensemble that includes the Paco dos Condes de Basto, the Eug'enio de Almeida Archive and Library, the Carriage Collection and the S. Miguel Chapel. It also houses the headquarters of the Eug'enio de Almeida Foundation. Paco dos Condes de Basto was built in the Roman-Visigoth period, it was Moorish Alcazar and seat of the Military Order of S. Bento de Calatrava. Great figures of the History of Portugal passed by, such as D. Afonso Henriques, D. Nuno 'Alvares Pereira, D. Sebasti~ao, D. Filipe II and D. Jo~ao IV. It has been classified as a National Monument since 1922. Primitive Moorish alc'acer and residence of the kings of the Afonsina dynasty. Based on the Roman-Gothic-Muslim wall, it preserves architectural remains of the Gothic-Manueline-Mudejar and Renaissance styles, these enhanced with the mural paintings of the ground halls, in which one can see panels of the taking of Tunis, in 1535, by Emperor Carlos V, an expedition that had the contribution of a powerful Portuguese fleet commanded by Infante D. Lu'is, Duke of Beja and brother of D. Jo~ao III. The mythological paintings of the palatial series are dated and signed: Francisco de Campos - 1578

Urban center of the city, where the most important profane and religious celebrations took place over the centuries. It originated during the Arab occupation, as "massala", a space for collective celebrations, and was then located outside the walls, in front of one of the main gates of the city, the door of the Saddlery. In this square, King D. Duarte, the Paco dos Estaus (which has remarkable Gothic vestiges) was established and the Henriquina Fountain and the Santo Ant~ao Church are preserved, constructions where the royal architects Miguel Arruda, Manuel Pires intervened. and Afonso 'Alvares. In the temple, the ultimate example of Renaissance art in 'Evora, there is a painting panel of the Souls attributed to Jer'onimo Corte Real - the Portuguese Vergil author of the epic poems The Second Siege of Diu and Shipwreck of Sep'ulveda - which was buried in Evora on the 16th of November 1588. Praca do Giraldo is an icon of homage to Geraldo Geraldes, the Sem Pavor, because he conquered 'Evora from the Moors in 1167. In thanks for this feat, D. Afonso Henriques named him mayor of the city and frontier of the Alentejo region that would help to conquer. In 'Evora, all roads lead to Praca do Giraldo. It has always been this way since its construction in 1571/1573.
