In the 1st century AD the so-called "Temple of Diana" would be the main element of the Roman Forum. It is one of the best preserved in the Iberian Peninsula. Its wrong name is due to Father Manuel Fialho who in the century. XVIII when studying the building, gave it the name of Temple of Diana. The configuration of the temple corresponds to the Greco-Roman architectural system of the Corinthian order, hexastil, temples generally intended for official services. Built at the dominant point of the Acropolis of 'Evora, of which it would be the main decorative element, possibly in the first decades of the 3rd century AD, when the cultural influences of Emperors Trajan and Hadrian extended across the Peninsula, however it is unknown what divinity it was dedicated to and what is the exact period of destruction, which everything seems to indicate was intentional, at the end of the 4th century or 1st half of the 5th century, the most intense period of religious persecutions against paganism. Diana's poster designation belongs to an erudite, 17th century version, attributed to Jesuit Manuel Fialho, in Evora Ilustrada. Transformed into public butchers in the reign of D. Afonso IV, walled and draped with gothic battlements, he was freed from the adventitious elements in 1871, at the request of the director of the Public Library DR. Augusto Filipe Sim~oes, Mnauel Viana, Alexandre Herculano and Cinatti, who directed the restoration. The rectangular temple, of the Corinthian style and hexastil-peripteral type, is based on both soles of opus incertum, from where a colonnade of Greek-Roman stems breaks, which still preserves part of the architrave and frieze. The building whose pediment was directed to the southern side, is made of granite, except for the capitals and bases, which are made of Estremoz marble. The cell has completely disappeared.

The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas is located close to the harbour in the port city of Athens. It is dedicated to the patron saint of Greece, who is also the protector of sailors and seamen.

Sometime May 2017, not far from the main city centre. I was at the walkway running along the shore of Lake Lucerne.  It was snowing the night before and it was still very cold, wet and heavily overcast . I could have been more happier if there was some blue sky ... perhaps next time - whenever that may be. From wikipedia : " Lake Lucerne (German: Vierwaldst"attersee, literally "Lake of the four forested settlements" (in English usually translated as forest cantons), French: lac des Quatre-Cantons, Italian: lago dei Quattro Cantoni) is a lake in central Switzerland and the fourth largest in the country. The lake has a complicated shape, with several sharp bends and four arms. It starts in the south–north bound Reuss Valley between steep cliffs above the Urnersee from Fl"uelen towards Brunnen to the north before it makes a sharp bend to the west where it continues into the Gersauer Becken. Here is also the deepest point of the lake with 214 m (702 ft). Even more west of it is the Buochser Bucht, but the lake sharply turns north again through the narrow opening between the Unter Nas (lower nose) of the B"urgenstock to the west and the Ober Nas (upper nose) of the Rigi to the east to reach the Vitznauer Bucht. In front of Vitznau below the Rigi the lake turns sharply west again to reach the center of a four-arm cross, called the Chr"utztrichter (Cross Funnel). Here converge the Vitznauer Bucht with the K"ussnachtersee from the north, the Luzernersee from the west, and the Horwer Bucht and the Stanser Trichter to the south, which is to be found right below the northeast side of the Pilatus and the west side of the B"urgenstock. At the very narrow pass between the east dropper of the Pilatus (called Lopper) and Stansstad the lake reaches its southwestern arm at Alpnachstad on the steep southern foothills of the Pilatus, the Alpnachersee. The lake drains its water into the Reuss in Lucerne from its arm called Luzernersee (which literally translates as Lake of Lucerne)... Conceived as a "palace for horses" by architect Francis Greenway in Gothic Picturesque architectural style with turrets; as stables for Government House, Sydney, Australia 1820. The site is now home to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music & abuts the Royal Botanic Gardens and is a few hundred meters from Government House.

This recreational center was inaugurated by the president Mr. Ricardo Jim'enez years 1932-1936 and has more than 75 years of existence. Ojo de Agua is the most traditional aquatic park in Costa Rica. The greatest strength of this place is the conservationist environment, constituted by a 100% natural water flow which comes from the Barva aquifer and supplies the four pools. Due to its continuous flow, this flow allows the pool water to change constantly, thus maintaining a high level of hygiene and safety.

Capela do Sant'issimo, the splendid tomb of Francisco de Melo, a Renaissance work by Nicolau de Chanterene. Ark embedded in a Corinthian building, with a straight pediment through the interior, runs through a perfect arch, flanked by medallions of effigy; on the ark, also the weapons of the jacente. Dom Manuel de Melo. Tomb ark soaked in a vaulted arch in a lowed arch, with simple lintel frames mounted, in the falls, by medallions of effigy that come out in a simple volute winding over the arch, ending in cherubs blowing horns; it will fall on two squat pilasters of capitals decorated with vines, topped on the front by fluted columns with capitals depicting the faces of angels; carved in the back wall, over the ark, the weapons of the jacente

In the sacristy, covered by a ribbed vault, we can find some pieces of great interest. For example, good quality furniture, a marble bathroom, and what remains of a fresco from the early 17th century, which includes a Calvary surrounded by angels. This work, attributed to Jos'e de Escobar, was discovered in one of the recent restoration works.

In the south arm of the transept, the Altar of Calvary with an altarpiece of plant in half orange, of gilded and painted wood, framing painting panels with scenes from the Passion of Christ

The ogival portal, of Gothic inspiration, is formed by five archivolts supported by white marble columns with granite capitals, decorated with fleur-de-lis. Around it, a magnificent Gothic canopy, opened in valances and supported by two angels, in limestone. Next to the portal, a coat of arms where the arms of the Melo family can be seen. Here, access to the church is made through a 17th century door, in carved wood and pleated with bronzes.
