Built by a single man, fisherman Harald Hansen, who begun the work in 1922. After 34 years of hard work this hidden and isolated harbour was completed. Nicknamed Snug-Harbour (snug = hidden) because of its remote and hidden location. During the Second World War where Nazi Germany took control of all infrastructure this little harbour remained undiscovered by the Nazis and served an important role in helping Jews escape to neutral Sweden and for providing weapons to the Danish resistance movement to fight the German occupation of Denmark. Today the wooden shed and the small crane for lifting his fishing boat still remains.

We are located in Miltenberg in the main street between the city library and the old bannhaus. The Old Bannhaus served as the Mainz customs building from the 13th century to 1780. In the courtyard are remnants of the oldest city wall of Miltenberg. From the 19th century to the early 20th century, the building was used as an urban prison.

Not much is known about the two women who used to live in this cabin. There is no record who these women were or even what their names were. All that is known is that two women lived in this cabin and worked a few small prospects that were near the cabin. They were able to mine enough gold to pay for the essentials and that is all. After they passed in 1961, the county came in to clear out the cabin and to find out who these women were and to find any relatives. The county pulled out a lot of Victorian dresses but there was no indication who these women were or where they came from.
