Not much is known about the two women who used to live in this cabin. There is no record who these women were or even what their names were. All that is known is that two women lived in this cabin and worked a few small prospects that were near the cabin. They were able to mine enough gold to pay for the essentials and that is all. After they passed in 1961, the county came in to clear out the cabin and to find out who these women were and to find any relatives. The county pulled out a lot of Victorian dresses but there was no indication who these women were or where they came from.

The Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Wilfrid is the fourth church to occupy the same site. Originally founded as a monastery by Scottish monks in the 660s, it was rededicated as a Benedictine monastery by St Wilfrid in 672. It was destroyed by the English King Eadred in 948, with only the 7th century crypt surviving. After rebuilding it was again devastated in 1069 by William the Conqueror. A third church was constructed under the watch of Thomas of Bayeux, the first Norman Archbishop of York. The current church was rebuilt again in 1180 to promote pilgrimages to Wilfrid's crypt. It gained its famous west front in 1220, when the twin towers were crowned with wooden spires. The building was badly damaged during the Wars of the Roses and the English Civil War. It was established as a collegiate church by charter of James I in 1604, which lasted until the 19th century when the first English post-Reformation diocese was formed, thus Ripon Minster became Ripon Cathedral.

Interior of a biolevel safety 2 hood where COVID-19 testing is performed. The line of white cassettes to my left are used to test for antibodies to COVID-19. The multicolored tubes in front of me contain blood specimens that are going to be tested for these antibodies. The device that is used to transfer the blood into these tubes must be handled with metal forceps, which is sterilized with both ethanol and a flame. The vents that are in the hood draw air in, which protects from aerosols moving out of the hood. I also have to wear extensive personal protective equipment.
