The wind and the fog were still coming through the Golden Gate. In this panorama you can see the sailboats docked in Horseshoe Bay behind the Satterlee Breakwater, Angel Island, the Needles, and the Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco is completely hidden behind the fog bank.

While fighting the wind, I shot this pano with my camera atop a tall pole—a pole pano. Just a few pounds on top of a pole in windy conditions is challenging for one person to manage as the camera just seems to want to topple off of the cliff and into the rough water below. A bit of fog was still making its way into the bay through the Golden Gate. This was a challenging but fun photo shoot!

One day I wondered: Could I shoot a 360o pano inside our 2011 Nissan Leaf using my tripod and DSLR? The answer? Yes indeed! Take a look. I was a bit suprised how well it turned out.

Ovolo Woolloomooloo Hotel, formerly Hotel Blue, is located in an enormous building that once was an historic warehouse/dock used for central distribution in Syney. The long building preserves a variety of vintage elevators and conveyer belts once used to shuttle the cargo to and froe after it was offloaded from the ships.

On the way back from breakfast we stopped at this little balcony, with a grogeous view of the caldera, and shot this pano before the sun crested the top of the caldera. You can see the lava dome forming in the center of the caldera as the volcano is rebuilding itself.

With great views of the Gold Gate Bridge, the Satterlee Breakwater shields the Presidio Yatch Club members' sailboats, docked in Horseshoe Bay, from the extreme weather that can blast in through the Golden Gate and over the Headlands.

Early morning sunlight streams across the San Francisco Bay just behind the old weeping willow tree in front of the Barrel House Tavern in the quaint downtown area of Sausalito before the tourists all arrive by ferry, bike, and car. I love just looking up into the branches of the weeping willow tree.

This pano was shot overlooking the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge at the edge of Battery Spencer before the sun broke through the heavy morning overcast. Just a few visitors are bracing the strong wind chill.

The historic Caroline Lockhart ranch is located in Dryhead country. The ranch and its acreage is included within the boundaries of the Big Horn Canyon National Recreation Area north of Lovell, WY. The ranch has had some continuing restoration done to some of the buildings and surrounding grounds. There is significant information to be found online about Caroline Lockart who was both a journalist and a rancher. She led a colorful and multifaceted life.
