Decaydance
The Kinks.
Напоминаем, что фронтмен Panic At The Disco Брендон Ури принял участие в записи нового лонг-плея Fall Out Boy, который увидит свет 4 ноября.

After taking two-and-a-half years between its first two albums, Panic at the Disco is planning a quicker turnaround for its third -- like by spring or early summer of 2009, according to frontman Brendon Urie.
Echoing guitarist Ryan Ross' previous comments that the Las Vegas quartet continued writing new material even after wrapping March's "Pretty. Odd.," Urie tells Billboard.com that there are "between 15 and 18 main ideas for songs we want to get started. We've been writing non-stop since we finished recording. I guess we kind of lost our anxiety of writing on tour. We never used to do that. We used to think we needed an environment to sit down and create, but we realized all we need is a few instruments and the four of us, just throwing ideas together."
Urie says the new music hews more toward the last album's classic rock-influenced sound than the epic pop of 2005's platinum "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out." "With 'Pretty. Odd.' we were listening to some bands that maybe we had heard from our parents but never discovered for ourselves," Urie says. "There's so much music we haven't discovered from 30 years ago or more. We're still trying to pick up on that stuff."
Urie adds that his most recent discovery has been the Kinks, particularly their "Village Green Preservation Society" album.
Panic is currently headlining the Rock Band Live Tour, which runs through mid-November, and will perform at the Voodoo Music Experience festival on Oct. 26. Urie, meanwhile, is among the guests on Fall Out Boy's upcoming album, "Folie a Deux," which is due Nov. 4 via Island.
"It was a lot of fun," Urie reports. "I went into the studio and they showed me four or five of the tracks and I was really impressed with how they were recording them and the styles they had. I was able to throw some of my own little ideas into the piano parts and vocal things. I just hung out there for the afternoon and we had a lot of fun."

Yesterday, before the Rock Band Live tour in Los Angeles, Buzznet got a chance to spend a little time chatting with those fine boys of Panic at the Disco. There is a video interview coming next week, and then you can regale in their adorableness -- BUT -- the critical piece of information I extracted is that they have indeed filmed a video for "Northern Downpour."
I'd heard a little bird chatting about a video shoot when we were walking to the press room. When I asked the band if they'd be planning to do any more music vids for any Pretty. Odd. songs, Brendon Urie said, "Never again!" to which Ryan Ross smoothly replied (candy cigarette in mouth) "...because we just did the last one."
They shot it in downtown L.A., or "urban L.A." as Ross commented. He said it was the first time they shot a video without a set and that "it involves us defacing some property."
Really, I can't imagine anything that would make me adore that song more than I already do, but I'm definitely still eager to see what some visual aspects can add to it. No word yet on when the video is being released.
