well i dont find anything bad in those sites, just bereasonable anddcareful. As for me i met my love on the net. Now planning to move to Germany to live with my mate
well, when i was younger my fav. serial was Due south, me and my friends were totally obsessed with it! Now i discoverred for me a serial called Californication... (haven't missed a single serie) :-) On DVD now i have Rome and complete 1 st season of ER... Looking forward of getting alll available seasons of Lost
My parents made me marry my civil husband after a year of our living together :) They were not too much against it, but thought it would be better for us to register the marriage
Jelllyjam, for those who study at the university the situation is different if they still live with their parents but not in the hostel.
My parents helped me a lot during my studies... I couldnt cope without her. But when a student lives in a hostel, it's easier to become independent,I'd say.
I would discriminate between so to say dating services "proper" and some kind of services like love.mail.ru where you can find anything from just chit-chat with funny people of both sexes to real time dating. Further relations depend on the user. Of course, loads of posts and folk there must be considered carefully and sometimes deleted immediately, but cool folk is also there.
As for personal detail, yeah, I agree it's dangerous, I did some form filling for my aunt at dating proper, so they demand too much of personal info including home numbers. As for mail.ru kind such info is not necessary, and I personally never give my photo.
Kim_Berly, long comments are good)
In addition, I can say that there are some people who treat such services as odnoklassniki.ru and vkontakte.ru as dating services, so others don't like them) And they are right by the way)
Yes, I agree also, provided the child is competent to make his own living and not retarded. (Not trying to be funny)
Married children should have moved out long ago... But I understand that income and availability can play a big part in these decisions. For privacy and independence living separately is best. Two women living under the same roof rarely makes for a happy home, in my experience.
well... I don't like these so called "Dating sites". It's not that I object to getting acquianted via the Internet but I have never used such services. Only once I posted a profile (it was here, at LiRu) but then, after a while, tried to delete it, but in vain. It kinda still exists and freaks me out!
Again I don't mind other people register at these sites and find their lovers and so on, but I don't like it personally. I find it dangerous (coz you never know what person you're communicating with). It's like a fair where you can see goods on the displays, that call to you: Take me or buy me.
can these quotation be from the short story "Marriage of convenience"?
As for the topic, I don't imagine myself in this situation. I'd better I-don't-know-what, e.g. be alone all my life or just have a lover, whatever, but won't marry a man I don't love or even like just for money.
Fred_in_Westland, well, it's not very hot for the moment. There was a thunderstorm yesterday and today there is no sun but nevertheless I am not wearing coat today)
