DESCRIPTION: A village of ten lodges is situated in a forest grove on a winter evening underneath a full moon. Snow-laden clouds spread across the sky, but cannot blot out the moon's radiance. The lodge doors face east to open to the rising sun. Lodges were constructed of birch bark roofs and elm wood sides held together with saplings. Shields are placed outside several lodges as protective talismans. The card exemplifies the concept of community-the continuity provided by one's culture and family, and the world as a global village. The human footprints between the lodges reinforce the sense of community.
